A couple poses might be missing from the start, but it’s almost all here. It’s another old log, and it happened shortly after the last Cocle/Akseli/Johari log that Halidari posted.
Characters:
Akseli – Male Juvenile Swift Fox
Johari – Female Juvenile Gray Fox
Cherry Orchard
Why is it that every time Akseli is hidden in the grass waiting for something that he is always ambushed by another of something else. Not that he minds cause it was Johari this time, its just for once he wasn't intentionally trying to wake anyone or knew that anyone else was in the area. Honestly, he was just trying to have a little fun by himself, but such times always seem to fall short these days. Taken by complete surprise, Aks is flattened by foxgirl. With an ack, he rolls over to look up at her and says, "Hey. Where's you come from..." He was alone, he could of sworn that.
Haha, got him! Johari smiles widely when her pouncing is successful and lets him roll out from under her. "I was taking a nap behind that tree over there," she says, nodding her head in the direction of the tree. Walking over to him, she gives him a friendly lick on the nose before taking a seat. "So when did you get here?" she asks. She had thought this place was pretty unknown to the brothers, but apparently she was wrong.
Shaking himself off, he lays there with a 'how did I not know' look plastered on. "I should of guessed your run off for a nap. With us around I'm sure it pretty hard." he chuckles to himself as she looks out towards the trees once more. "I got here no long ago. Home was boring so came here." This particular place was new to him and since he didn't go out last time, he'd take the time today; he's actually kind of glad he did too.
Johari giggles at Akseli's comment about them being too loud to sleep by. She would never say it out loud to them, but the foxgirl had been thinking that as well. They do have their loud moments and she just wanted to relax today with no pouncing or running, just a calm, easy-going day with her friends. Smiling, Johari moves over and lays down next to the male and giving him another friendly lick. "Well I'm glad you came here anyways."
No pouncing, then what do you call what she did to him just moments ago; certainly wasn't a love pat or some kind of hug; though he could be mistaken. Keeping an eye on her, he flops back till he is licked, picking his head up from the ground. She sure does do that a lot. Dropping it back down he relaxes going back to waiting on the wind to blows flowers from the trees.
Well she licks him a lot because he's her friend and she likes doing it. To her, it's a reminder to the both of them that they're really good friends and that nothing could change that. Is there something a little more behind it... perhaps but the foxgirl is still a bit too young to know what. Smiling down at him, she looks a little confused when he lays his head down, seemingly waiting for something. "So whatcha doin'?" she asks quietly.
What's he doing, well he has thought it to be obvious just be his actions, but apparently it is not. Looking up and over to the girl he blinks, "I'm waiting for the wind. Flowers fall from the sky when it blows." It’s a pretty sight and he thinks that Johari should see it if she hasn't already.
It is indeed a pretty sight. Johari had seen it once when she first found the place but that was it. Still, she remembers it as being really pretty with lots of flowers everywhere. It's what made her want to come back here every time she need to relax, hoping to see it again, but she hadn't. Maybe today will be her lucky day. Plopping her head down between her forepaws, she says, "Yeah I've seen in once before. It was really pretty."
Akseli would of said it was pretty, but boys don't say pretty... right? The sight of it reminds him of her, both he'd never get tired of seeing; only one thing could make either of them better. Looking around as he waited, he has seen a big blossom somewhere near one of the trees. Finding it would take him awhile, but when he does, he stands and makes for it, not even saying where his going or what he's doing.
Johari perks her head up when her friend suddenly gets up and walks away from her. "Akseli, where are you going?" she asks, clearly confused but doesn't get up to follow him.
Akseli knew that she'd ask something like that, and so made sure he returned as quickly as possible. Grabbing the flower he has chosen, he walks back to Johari and places it on the ground in front of her. Was he giving her a flower... that’s so sweet.
Johari stares back at Akseli as he comes back, slightly curious as to why he has a flower in his mouth. But when he drops the flower in front of her, she soon has her answer. Is he... doing what she thinks he’s doing? Staring down at the flower for a moment, then back up at her friend, she asks, "Akseli... is this for me?"
Well it’s not for his brother if that’s what she's thinking. Looking a tad pink in the cheeks, Akseli nods to her. "I thought..." She's been so nice to him, he thought he'd give her a gift. "It’s pretty like you and.... you like?" Look he can't even say what he wants to say.
Her, pretty? Johari blushes slightly when he says this. No one's ever called her pretty before. Does she like it? "Akseli it's... beautiful," she says almost dreamily. Getting to her paws, Johari leans in and gives her friend a nuzzle and another nice lick on the cheek. That little act of kindness means so much to her, especially since it's coming from Akseli. "Thank you."
Akseli doesn't say anything this time, he's pretty much done and said to much already. So he just takes a seat and tries not to make it look like the flower meant anything other than what he tried to make it look like. Smiling at her, he just nuzzles her back.
It may not mean a lot to him, but to Johari it means a /lot/. That's the first time anyone has ever given her anything so pretty and beautiful and... wow. Giving him another lick, the foxgirl goes back to admire her present. It's so beautiful and fragile looking that she's scared to even touch it for fear that it might break. In fact, she doesn't really know what to do with it, but it doesn't really matter. Still, she thinks about the possibilities for a few moments, then finally decides on a good one. Looking back up at her friend, she noses the flower towards him and asks, "Do you think you could put it between my ear for me?" That way she'll never lose it!
What now.. he wants her to do what. Looking down at the flower as it is pushed closer to him, Akseli blinks, looking up to Johari and where she insisted he put it. Tilting his head just slightly he tries to imagine the flower on her head. Tilting it the other way, he shrugs. Picking up the flower moments later, he puts it by her ear where he gets what he tried to imagine.
Well he was thinking right because that's exactly where Johari wanted it. He even got the ear right! Smiling contently when he puts it between her ear, she says, "Thanks, now I'll never forget where it is." And it would really /stink/ if she lost something this precious. But she can't get rid of one annoying little detail. "How do I look?" she asks, looking at Akseli again and trying to give him a good view of her with the flower propped in her ear.
How does she look? Well honestly he doesn't know, but to be nice and have at least something to say, Akseli says, "You look.. nice." Which she did, but what does he know about looking nice; or looking like anything for that matter. "You should keep it like that... oh, you think Cocle will think it looks nice too?" quite an abrupt question, but if she's going to be walking around with a flower, might as well get what everything else thinks about it too.
