The Cerulean pack has been saddened for many weeks now by one of their youngest members going missing, and now the Ute have lost one of their own pups as well. The Dorado horses have been attacked twice, a massive wild boar killing their last herd stallion and nearly injuring a young foal. A young cougaress has lost one of her first pair of cubs, nothing but a few eagle feathers left behind where it disappeared. Though, perhaps not all hope is lost, if those affected work together to achieve a common goal -- finding and avenging their lost ones. Maybe options have been quietly discussed between leaders, or perhaps a message has already been sent from one group to another to request help and information about the ongoing events. Either way, word has spread that those interested in doing something about it should meet at the Two-River Fork. What is happening, and why? How can they find who is responsible? What should be done about it when they do? ----- [OOC Note: This is an open scene for any involved in the ongoing TP to join, particularly group leaders and those directly affected by recent IC events. As it would be fairly difficult to organize a big multi-group meeting on-MUCK, all are encouraged to use this forum RP as a means to collaborate and figure out how to proceed. (However, feel free to post additional scene logs in response to the situation as well!) For further advice or inquiry, contact a wizard, and be sure to keep updated on recent TP logs here!]

Cliantha is here at the river with her Herd Stallion, Orion. Her look is distant and firm as she is now in a group meeting with other animals and also wolves. She keeps her eyes steady and they wander to look at the others gathered. She stands somewhat close to Orion, though. A quick glance to him is given, more to look at the scars he has accumulated in keeping the herd safe. Some are from wolves and she knows his feelings towards them. Yet, she knows he will be disciplined enough to look out for what is best for all the animals. These threats are wreaking havoc on life here and worse, she can only imagine losing a foal to that monster boar. She understands what the others face with the loss of their young ones. There is a whole lot of sadness that she hides in the memory of seeing Sirocco his last time being alive. The smells, the blood, the gored flesh and his labored breathing as he tells the story of his demise by the attack of Luscen.
She finally speaks, "Greetings, I know we have all had some pain over these last couple of months or more. As for the Dorado herd, we are here to help. I'm Cliantha, Lead Mare. I have brought, Orion, the Herd Stallion with me."

No luck, no success; where could he be. With all hope running thin on finding his nephew, Tariro has housed himself at the Fork for days thinking of possible places he may have missed in his search. Eyes closed as he sits at the rivers edge the sound of hoof-steps draw his attention from his thoughts; ears falling flat. Was coming here alone the proper thing to do... he only hopes his pack remains safe. Looking up, ready to react, it is the mare and her companion that fixate his gaze. Alone he stood no chance, but the words spoken by the female bring a slight settling feeling. The idea of stepping back into the trees in mind, the wolf keeps solid footing by the rivers edge for the time being eyes the surroundings; his intro silent till he knows who else may be in the area as with them.
However, after a while as the silence of the area persists he says, "Your help is well appreciated, Cliantha..." He looks to the stallion, "..and Orion of the Dorado." Keeping them both in sight his gaze slowly shifts back out toward the open as he continues with, "I'm Tariro, Alpha of the Cerulean Pack."

Indeed Orion is not thrilled with the idea of 'speaking' with wolves, he still carries the scars of the two that felt the need to attack the herd. Darn flea bitten things. A faint snort escapes him, tail slowly flicking about while he stands quietly for the moment next to Cliantha, his ears twitching forward and back while he takes in all the sights, and scents that may be present, and those that could possible be sneaking around them.
His gaze rests upon the first wolf to speak and he offers a nod of his head. "Your welcome Tariro.. We will do what ever we can to help." There is a slight pause. "I take, you and your pack are missing someone?" His curious on the matter at hand.

The faint, ever present whimpering that accompanies the muddy, messy female wolf as she makes her way to the Two Forks is perhaps the first thing to be said of Wachiwa; though she is no leader in her pack, no wolf of importance, she has felt the need to answer this call. Drawn by some notion, something she will call the word of the Great Spirits, the she wolf comes slowly trotting along, not the first of her kind present, and hopefully not the only one of her pack to come as well.
Ears back, she must admit, having never seen a horse before this close up that Cliantha and Orion are intimidating; worse the sight of a large male wolf she's never met, but one who carries the posture of an alpha, sends her to creeping along, half in and half out of shadows, on her belly, before she finally finds a spot she feels safe; located slightly behind a rock so as not to be a direct target to the horses should they become angry.
She speaks up softly, ".. H-Hello.. The Spirits said I would find the help I seek here at the forks.. Are you each looking for a lost Youngling? My pack has lost a youngling; under my watch, too, and to unusual circumstances that we can't seem to .. well, explain. A strange wolf may have been involved.. a large bird, however, most certainly was involved.."

The young Ute alpha is not far behind Wachiwa, although Skahla and Wachiwa clearly could not be said to be traveling together. He is all too happy, as well, to hang back and allow her to speak for their pack. He has not indulged the social tendencies he has recently, and it is definitely not easy to embrace those tendencies in the presence of so many unknown animals. Not while he's... well, even he's not sure what he's trying to do, exactly. Be alpha, whatever that means. At least here, outside of his own territory, he does not take that to mean posturing or pretending to know things that he doesn't.

The arriving others doesn't phase Cliantha. She pushes herself to be strong; her eyes glance at those that come with no anger in them. "We seem to have a common problem that needs to be faced together. Is there any clue as to what has taken the young? I know we had an incident where a very large boar was trying to take one of our foals." There is a softness in her expression now as if to wait for more news outside of her area. "Any trace? Any trail? Or is there merely a random disappearance with no reason why?" She nickers softly first. "Likely I shouldn't trail into the heart of the discussion without hearing the others introduce themselves."

Missing, that was one way of putting it. The pack was always missing something, someone... Tariro knows all to well what its like to lose someone and he wasn't about to let it continue. Nodding to Orion, his gaze shifts over to a sudden russel in the distance. As a voice come from the shadows, he cups his ears forward and blinks. He'd never met this wolf before; was she from Ute... When another wolf arrives from behind the first, Tariro takes to a stand; something different was about this one. When the mare speaks once more, the Cerulean Alpha looks ot her his silence remaining as he too complies to waiting for the other to introduce themselves.

Orion shifts on his hooves, a faint snort escaping him while his ears and gaze twitch to one wolf then another as they appear in the area. Her tail slowly sways while he lifts his head to keep a good view of the area. A glance is offered over to Cliantha and nods slightly. "Yes, any sign, or thought of whom might be behind all this?" As for the talk of the wild boar he is proof that it was true, scars are still seen upon his form thanks to that thing.

"Well, we know that a bird took our pup," Wachiwa says, sofly, unaware of Skahla's presence just yet. "And we think a strange she-wolf was involved too, because she did not defend the pup."
Chewy whimpers a little, then says, softer, as if fearing she shan't be believed, "I asked the Great Spirits, and they said that all is not as it seems, that something evil is afoot, and that we will need those of every species affected to help."
Chewy ducks her head then, and murmurs, "I am sorry, Skah, for loosing him, I should have been more careful."

The very young alpha's ears perk, not in response to any of the statements from any of the foreign animals, but to Wachiwa's murmured apology. In recent weeks, he has certainly earned the title of "grumpy," and the apology causes him to frown. When all is said and done, though, Skahla is a wolf of action, not one of words, and with the disappearance of his brother... Without bothering to introduce himself, Skahla speaks up suddenly, addressing the other male wolf. "Where did you lose the scent of the one you lost?" Not that Skahla expects to be able to follow a trail days or weeks old when someone more experienced than he could not.
Their pup, however, was taken by bird, that much they know, and so he hopes what the other alpha tells him may give him a better place to start searching. Or rather, to send someone else to start searching, because this strange-pup-turned-alpha has made a career of listening to the inconsequential chattering of other species within his territory, animals who were perfectly happy to ignore the weird little wolf, and one does not do that without learning things that can be used to enlist the help of creatures far more capable than he is to search a very large area very quickly.
Meanwhile, though he listens to what the large horses have to say, he scarcely looks at them, otherwise, save for to keep track of where they are in relation to him. He knows enough of them to know one false move could have very bad consequences for him, and not nearly enough of them to feel comfortable addressing them.

"The Dorado Herd isn't missing anyone, in fact the one we thought was missing is dead... Killed by a giant boar. In turn, we dispatched the foul beast as he tried to take a foal from us." Her head tilts slightly at the sight of Skahla, yet, her posture remains the same.
"As for a bird stealing one of yours, the herd has a bird-friend I can call upon to be the eyes in the sky for us. However, there is too much sky for one bird to search for this pup-snatcher. She has already been on search for a wolfpup with no avail of finding the lost pup."
Her eyes focus in on Wachiwa, "This strange she-wolf. Do you have her in your midst currently? Has she been questioned if you have her?"
She gives a glance to Orion then to the others, "Are you thinking that these foul menaces are working together? Are they just rogue elements seeing us as prey? Any proof on that? Or even what these beasts smell like? We have other animal friends that are likely to help in this matter but there needs to be some coordination for the search."
She shifts her weight as her tail swishing about, her body showing the stress of this situation and the task that is likely to come.

Through the silence and wait, Tariro has taken the time to look over mostly everyone, more so the stallion who carries marks still fresh. The wonder of what may of caused them running through his mind, if only for a moment, before turning to the she-wolf who explains how their own pup was taken from them. Must of been a pretty big bird to carry a pup, even a young one. Thinking back on how his nephew was taken, he hmms; certainly was no bird. Maybe this wolf...
Looking up when spoken to, it is Skahla's voice that brings Tariro to attention. "At the mountains base." That is there he lost track anyway; unsure of where the others of his pack may of stopped. "He may of been picked up and carried elsewhere after that." If it was true about this bird then that could certainly been the case.
Ear folding back now as the mare speaks, letting what appears to be her worries get the better of her, the wolf's gaze shifts.

The stallion shifts and glances from one then to another to take in whom all is there, still he is cautious whom is here and whom MAY still be out there. His ears perk forward at the talk of a wolf and then of a large bird that is in part of this. "A bird was able to take a pup.." He murmurs out and shakes his head. "Indeed must have been a large bird. Is there any other leads as to where the wolf, or bird may have went to, a direction perhaps?"

The journey has begun again, as it must. There are important things yet to do. Niyt is lighter of heart for this leg of the journey, though. She has her brother! He who was lost has now been found.
Anoki is still worn from his ordeal, but he's alive, and slowly recovering strength. Sometimes he lopes beside her, but when his paws grow too tired, as they have now, he rides atop her back. She's learned a steady pace that keeps him there.
Now, the two draw close to the place where the rivers meet. They've been traveling along the river, as Wachiwa's Great Spirits told; and following the signs Anoki remembers, the remnants of his scent trail. So far, the two paths are mostly the same.
As she approaches close, she can smell the scents of many gathered here. All are familiar, to greater or lesser extent; from her own uncle Tariro, to the horses whose territory she passed through, to the Ute wolves she spent some time with. She hears the stallion as she approaches, asking questions. Perhaps she and Anoki can provide some answer. She howls a few notes of greeting, as she pads out from among the trees. "Hello."
