What's this about South American species?? I think we have enough options for species as it is. And what about spirits? Maybe I missed something... In the late 1800s/early 1900s, some South American species still crept up into Southwest America (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Jag_distribution.gif - jaguar range). And while people /have/ asked about playing jaguars, the staff is still very hesitant about allowing them as anything more than FCs/NPCs for plot purposes - so, no, we won't be branching our setting south to include South American species as well. It'd just be for something new and unusual ICly, creatures that haven't been seen before. As for spirits, at the beginning of the Sangre TP, Storm was approached by the ghost of her mother bearing a warning - a lot of people seemed to like the atmosphere it set during the scene and after, so I'd like to see more done with them (the cougars have a shaman, as a possibility).

I think I missed this part too... spirits? -human presence (friend or foe) Adding humans (whether a few FCs or a viable character option) would definitely shake things up a bit. Personally I would love to see a small group of humans come through the area, even if just for a few days or whatnot, as the repercussions would remain with the various animal groups for quite a long time. ("Didja hear what So-and-so saw?" ) -quest for ______ (healing, finding a lost one, etc - could be MUCKwide with a contagious disease?) I really like this idea... particularly if only one of the groups actually obtains the vital information for how to solve the problem (whether disease or whatever else). That would provide for a lot of interesting political interactions, as this group could use its information for power gain or territory, or whatever else the leader(s) want. Or it could be merciful and just help out, but it would be completely up to those with the info. -natural disaster (been done before, but perhaps a forest fire or something else for a new twist?) A forest fire, while not completely unique, is still fun if done well. Like with the humans, the lasting results would definitely influence RP for quite a while after the fire itself was over. -introduction of South American species (please note this would not necessarily mean that jaguars/etc would become playable species or anything other than controlled FCs) Jaguars? More big cats? -I'd personally like to see a horse herd finally officially formed, so any ideas that would help with that would be lovely A horse herd might work well with any humans that are introduced -- i.e. a few settlers or Indians looking for good mounts, or something along those lines.

I would have posted here sooner, but I had a late internet bill holding me away for the last few days and up until just a few minutes ago(although by the time I finish this post, it will likely have been more than a few minutes, but whatever), so... yeah. My thoughts: Jaguars - Are interesting, I admit. But they would also be easy to twink, if you think about it. If we do bring them in, there would have to be some kind of restrictions(Evil word, I know) so we don't end up with a ton of them running around. Humans - We had humans, and we barely did anything with them. But if anybody can think up something interesting, I guess we could go for it. As long as any use of Native Americans avoids Hollywood stereotypes. Please? Natural Disasters - Fire sounds sort've okay, being slightly less used than SOME things. Especially if we lead up to it; a heat wave passes through, the river dries a bit, and the grass starts to die. Then, just when everybody thought it couldn't get any worse, a lightning storm(sans the rain) sparks up a blaze that just kind of grows from there. Horses - I agree, I would very much like to see this happen. Horses have very fascinating social structures, and are more complex than some may think. (A nice site, for anybody who would like to read up on them = www.horseconnection.com/site/archive/story-feb06.html) I like the whole thing with the herd being made up of smaller bands(lead by a mare), but I'm not sure if we could successfully make that work out. Also, Wraith is available for RP if anybody wants to poke me for it. I also love the quest plot concept, and interspecies RP for the win—whether it ends up being cooperative, or competitive. And I believe I said it before somewhere, but I think it would be interesting to tie teh spirits into it, by some means or another. As long as they're involvement is minimum, as it was with the Sangre TP. That's about all I'm going to type right now. I'll be back with more later, when I have time to read all the replies more closely and carefully.
