Undergrowth (Lazuli)
Involved:
Halidari - F. Wolf
Bodhi - M. Wolf
Later that same day (Knowing whats to come..), Hali asks Bodhi what he likes to do. However, rather than getting something simple, she gets something she's not sure she's meant to hear; yet she gives her advise in hope its more helpful than not.
Scene
Halidari looks up to Bodhi who gives Lyk praise in his hunt before turning to Lyk himself. "You be careful." something she always tell him everytime he goes out. Watching him depart for a moment she turns back to her pack mate and gives an apologetic smile. "Sorry, Bodhi. Didn't mean to push you out like that, its just.." she stops there before beinging up something else. "Besides from wondering the borders, what else do you like to do?"
Bodhi chuckles softly as he stands up and stretches slightly which gives him time to think about how to answer that questions "no problem, as for what i like to do, thats actually quite a good question" a loopsided grin offered Hali "Wandering and exploring has always been my two main passions, thats one reason i wander the borders so much as to keep those urges in check. Aside from that tho i i like to simply lie around and talk with friends or making new ones" slowly padding over toward Halidari "and one thing i like doing that very few are privy to is that i like singing"
Another who sings to pass the time; to being enjoyment to oneself. Seems mosy everyone Hali knows likes to sing at some point; sort of makes her glad that Lykaios doesn't, that he's different. "Things must change a lot for you to keep such passions. The places you go, people you see... I guess itdepends on the wolf." she smirks. "Talking to friends is always good though." Something she often at times misses doing. "And singing... the one thing that never gets old." Another thing she misses. "You should let me hear you sing sometime. I'm sure your rather good at it."
Bodhi exhales deeply as he offers Hali a friendly nuzzle "Most my interests mix quite well since while wandering i often make new friends which also gives me somebody to speak to" lips quirking slightly "which again gives me a reason to wander after having returned to the densite to check up on my friends." a soft chuckle escaping his lips "Now as for listening to me sing" his head cocking slightly as he thinks "i guess i could sing a song for you, tho i need to decide on a good one first"
"Take your time." Hali was in no hurry to be anywhere, so had the time to wait for the right song to come to Bodhi. As she does wait, she sits there and takes a look around should there be anything out there eyeing them that they haven't picked up. Seeing nothing she returns to the male in hopes that she'ves given enough time.
Bodhi grins slightly and nods to himself before looking over at Hali "I think i'll sing a song about how i feel about someone" a warm smile appearing on his lips as he takes a deep breath and gazes toward the sky "My morning starts to shine with teardrops in my eyes, and here I am alone starting to realize that my days would be brighter if I could learn to hide the feeling that I have for you. Keeps haunting me inside" a deep breath exhaled as he moves in tune to the song, eyes mostly closed "Then my days begin with simple thoughts of you, hoping that tomorrow will be me and you sharing dreams with each other and making them come true. Holding one another, saying all I need is you" smiles warmly toward Halidari "But will you say that you love me and show me that you care, say when I need you you will always be there. But if you go and leave me (Ooh) this I swear is true my love will always be with you"
Halidari sits there rather relaxed, as she waits for the wong to start; one that had meaning, least for Bodhi that is. When he begins, she tries to keep as quiet as possible not wanting to interupt.
Bodhi's eyes closes fully as he loses himself in the song "Now my nights would end with just one wish, that's you to hold me in the dark and help me make it through 'Cause the pain that's inside me would simply melt away if I had you here with me and promise me you'd stay" his posture relaxed and a somewhat sad smile on his lips as he sings "But will you say that you love me and show me that you care, say when I need you you will always be there, but if you go and leave me (Ooh) this I swear is true my love will always be with you" his gaze once more lifting toward the sky as he opens his eyes once more "But will you say that you love me and show me that you care, say when I need you you will always be there, but if you go and leave me(Ooh) this I swear is true my love will always be with you. my love will always, my love will always ooh, ooh my love will always be with you"
As the song comes to an end, Hali can't help but be awwed. It was a beautiful song and it gave her the feeling that perhaps she wasn't the one to be hearing it; but she couldn't object to the chance of hearing the song of another. Who was this one he should of sang to, if only she knew. Waiting for Bodhi to fall silent she nods slowly, "That was wonderful. You sing well, you should do it more often." She always says that though, and always hopes that they take her advice. This is Bodhi, though, and he's always done things he's own way.
Bodhi lets out a deep sigh as he slumps down on the ground alongside Hali, a soft smile offered her "thank you, and maybe i will start to sing more often, who knows it might wake some of the lazybones here" shakes his head slightly as he gazes to the sky "You are the first to actually hear me sing this song, and likely the only one who will actually hear it unless somebody comes across me while singing it to myself" his head cocking slightly to the side.
Halidari chuckles softly. "If your songs can do that, then I'd be quite amazed." Infact she would be speechless. Life brought by song, that would be the day. Giving him a soft nudge and a smile, she says, "I am more than honored to be the first to hear such a song. Don't be afraid to have others hear you as well. You've got quite the talent and it should be shared." Even if she is the only one to of heard him sing, she has the feeling that'll all change one day.
Bodhi simply smiles softly as he decides to try and change the topic slightly away from the song "so now that you have heard my feelings laid bare, can you make any guesses on who they are ment for based on the words?" a playfull nudge offered in return as he grins, seemingly being in a slightly playfull aswell as curious mood.
Halidari wasn't one to guess names, it wasn't her place. "I can not." She says nothing else. Perhaps he will tell her, perhaps he will not; that was his choice. Watching him, she slips a smile.
Bodhi takes a deep breath and smiles as he can't help but approve of her behavior even if in this case she didn't want to even guess when he asked "The reason why my feelings belongs mostly to hopes and thoughts is that the one my heart belongs to is Miakoda" her name spoken in an wistfull tone(which is rather unusuall for him)
Halidari expected it to end there, but rather than getting that she gets the name of whom the song was for. Her eyes grow wide to the said name and she's put to a state of no words. Miakoda, the beta of the pack; she could hardly believe it. "Does she know?" she wonders. Why was she being told this.. Why was she even asking about it..
Bodhi dips his head once at her question while seeming thoughtful "I have mentioned it to her a few times in the past" a slight smile appearing on his lips at a thought "but i am more unsure if she has actually taken my words seriously or just thinks i'm joking since the both of us tend to be playfull."
Halidari hmms quietly. He has told her but is unsure if she had taken it seriously; that leaves things open for quite a lot. "Perhaps she has taken it seriously, but being in the state she's in and having what she has, expressing anything more than she has is impossible. Then again I could be wrong." Uncertain of how to speak of anything more, she leaves whats been said to be mauled over. After a while, however, telling Bodhi any of this just seems wrong. Mia has a life of her own, one she is obviously quite fond of. Hali turns to look else where.
Bodhi dips his head slightly in agreement before shaking it "Nobody said life would ever be easy, toss feelings into the mix and it gets even more confusing" his voice soft as he muses "in the end tho time will tell and if this pack teaches us one trait its patience."
Halidari nods in agreement to his words. He was not the only one who thought life was a puzzle that couldn't be solved. His life was just one piece of that puzzle, much like hers, that hasn't found its place yet; its just some pieces tend to fit in easier than others. "That is does. Patience is a virtue one should always hold dearly to them. Let that go and you might as well let everything go." she tells Bodhi turning back to face him.
Bodhi grins slightly as the more complicated issue gets put aside for now "On that we fully agree Hali, patience is likely one of the greatest virtues to posess, while the others are very important aswell most of them also rely on this one to some degree"
"Patience is what makes life what it is." She states. "Its what pulls us through during times where we need it most." Course Hali has grown tired of such but never lets its fall to far from the tree. Its what brought her here to day and letting it go would be like nothing ever happened. "So are you to wait and see what happens or are you let it pass and hope that one day it'll resurface with you in mind?" That is the question she asks him.
Bodhi raises a brow at Hali's question as it seems to be a very well aimed question indeed "I will likely wait and see what happens as doing otherwise would be to change how i have been dealing with this" a soft smile on his lips "and i don't think i would be honest with myself if i were to change."
Halidari nods slowly. "I suspected that you'd do as much." She hoped as much. Saying all this makes her feel sort of like the advise giver... the one her father has always said was wise beyond her years. She finds it hard to believe, but thinks shes starting to understand. Letting out a soft smile she says, "If I were you, I'd never give up and never change."
Bodhi smiles softly as he leans over to give a friendly nuzzle "thank you, and trust me when i say that i have no plans to give up nor change" his nose wrinkling slightly "i have only really made one major change since arriving in these woods, and that was changing from a wandering rogue to becoming a packmate" his lips twisting into a wry grin "and thats a change i don't regret at all"
Looking up to the sky just moments later, it has grown late, had to of been time to to see the nights ends with rest. Looking down to Bodhi she gives a tired smile. As much as she would love to stay with him longer she doesn't think that her mind would allow it even though she proves to be doing well. "That I am sure everyone else, including myself, can agree with." Nuzzling the wolf back she continues, "Having you as a pack mate is something we're all grateful for." Though so is sleep. Standing up, she tries not to make her intentions to obvious.
Bodhi chuckles softly as he cocks his head while looking up at you "Thank you and i would have to say the same about you, even if we seldom spoke in the past" his lips adopting a soft smile "i am sure that is about to change now that we both have caught up with eachothers presence at the densite"
Halidari nods with a soft smile. "The past is the past. Things change, we have proved that today. I just hope we can keep things like this while we still can." She smirks. "But for now, I'm afraid we must seperate." Alas she has made it to saying such. "To rest so we can meet again the next day." Turning to step away, she looks back. "I will see you again, won't I?"
Bodhi smirks slightly as he nods "Indeed you will, i will be spending some more time around the densite now i think, as you told me shortly after we met tonight, i should relax more and not be out patrolling all the time" his head tilting to the left "With all the good advice i've gotten today it might be wise of me to follow up on that one aswell" the smirk turning into a grin "Rest well Hali and sweet dreams"
Halidari can't help but give a smile that displays her graditude for the way he is taking her advise. It'll be good to see him around more; and if anything she'll have company when other are not there. "It is good to hear that; and I too wish you the same. Sleep well and I shall see you later." And then she slips off after a nod, to the den entrance where she drops to a lay. After a short moment she is asleep.
