Dense Undergrowth (Lazuli Densite)
Order of Appearance
Halidari (F. Lazuli Wolf)
Bodhi (M. Lazuli Wolf)
Seven (M. Wolf)
Scene
It was about that time; the time to make sure Johari was doing well and going to make it through the winter alright; before the snow picks up and makes it impossible to do anything. Trudging through the undergrowth, Hali was making sure that things were alright before looking for Lykaios and making the preperations for their departure. But first, to let someone know where she was going.
Bodhi humms quietly to himself as he pads back into the densite and looks around after any signs off life, the corners of his lips twitching slightly as he nods to himself then continues on over toward his favorite resting spot.
Circling around and passing alongside most of everyone, Halidari comes to a stop at the sound of nearingly pawfalls. Ears twitching in every which direction, its not long until she notices the passing figure of Bodhi through the brush. Watching him for a moment, she mays way to catch up to him. "Hey Bodhi!" she calls out.
Bodhi blinks once before he stops up and turns to face the voice with a wry grin "Heya Hali, Its good to see you again awake" the grin shifting into a smile "how are you tonight?" his head cocking slightly to the side as he sits down to watch her toughtfully and attentivly.
Awake, what does he mean by that.. was he keeping an eye on her while she slept. Not that she'd mind such a thing, but it could also be sort of creepy. Shruging that thought away Hali gives a soft smile. "Its good to see you again too." Her tone rather cheerful. "I'm doing well, about to head out actually. Hows yourself?"
Bodhi chuckles softly and looks around the densite "a calm densite, no dangers found in the woods during my short patrol, and as such a fairly quiet forest, i'd have to say i am doing quite well, hopefully things will stay this way too" his tail swishing slightly as he talks "Checking up on friends before its to late i assume, i'd be tempted to do the same myself hadn't i promised to stay at the densite more often."
Halidari smirks with a nod. "I am; its something long over due." Flicking her own tail, she remains standing. "A promise..." she says rather unbelieving. "We all have our promises, though we're all still allowed to leave to say out fairwells, Bodhi." Staying here because of something she wished of him isn't what she wanted. "Winter is long and who knows when we'd be able to see our friends again."
Bodhi smiles softly and dips his head "very true, but if i were to leave now to start bidding most farewell i doubt i would manage to return back here before winters strikes at its hardest" lips quirking slightly "and its a promise i don't mind keeping in all cases, i've spent far to much time away from the den during the earlier seasons, its only fitting i stay at home during the winter"
Halidari nods solmly. "Alright. I'll hold you to that." With doors wide open, for changes. "Wouldn't want to find you spread out when the snow melts." she teases giving him a nudge to the shoulder with her nose. "It'll be good having you around nonetheless." Moving on now, she takes a breathe, "You don't mind letting those who ask know where I'm at do you?" she wonders.
Bodhi chucklemurrs softly as he gives a friendly nuzzle in return "Wouldn't mind at all, if somebody asks i'll ofcourse tell them where you have gone aslong as you wish me to" his usual wry smile on his lips "its the least i can do and i must admit its quite good to be around the densite and my packmates."
Halidari isn't to sure how to respond to that. He'll do what she wishes, but was that really the right thing to do; afterall they are on the same level; or did he think otherwise. Giving a nod to it all, "Thank you, it means a lot." she says.
Bodhi simply dips his head in return "Its always an pleasure to help a friend, do you wish me to say anything aside from that you are out talking to friends"
Back to the sight, like usual... And still without an escort, but apparently not for long. Seven caught the female's scent, that means she's back? Hopefully he will be able to find her near the den, and again, hopefully he won't encounter Mia again, he hates her so much... The white wolf comes pacing slowly from the south, folowing his nose in search for the wolf he loves, not Bodhi, sorry.
Halidari head shakes. "Don't say I'm out talking to friends." She gets the feeling that won't go over well. "Say that I've gone... to give blessing for a safe winter." she doesn't know what she wants him to say exactly. Maybe it was best for him to just say whatever he thought was best. "Tell them I'll be back soon and to not worry." There was always the chance that someone would; like her parents. Just then, her ears turn back to yet another sound.
Bodhi dips his head and smiles warmly "An good blessing to give friends i must agree, and on that matter i wish you a safe and quick travel" slowly getting to his paws and turning to face the sound of somebody aproaching "send them my best regards aswell."
Leaving so soon? But he just got there! Seven's ears perk up, listening to half the things they're saying. The wolf stops pacing some yards away, head held high as he looks at the other male at first. Hmmm, that slave! But no, Seven doesn't do anything that might get things worse with this pack. Instead he offers a gentle nod to the other male, letting his gaze wander to meet the female's. No words come from him, as if he was waiting for something.
"I will." She says in nod before turning to follow Bodhi's gaze to the approaching somebody. The undergrowth making it slightly hard to see who it actually was, Hali relies on either her packmate, or her own intuition. Taking a few steps forward, Seven's scent reaches her nose. "Sev?" she calls out like she were worried, even when not.
Bodhi dips his head slightly in greeting before he lies back down in a relaxing position without saying a word aside from a slight smile on his lips
Seven flattens his ears when he hears her voice, so sweet all the time. The wolf takes a few steps closer to her direction, now out in the open. He knows Bodhi doesn't hate him like Mia, so there won't be any problem, besides, he's got 'escort', whatever that is in this case, "I've been looking for you." He says softly, tilting his head up and offering the girl a smile.
Halidari blinks towards the males actions; was something wrong here. Watching him as she takes a few steps close she takes a breath then looks back to Bodhi for a moment. "You have." says says turning back to him. Hopefully she wasn't to hard to find. "Why were you looking for me?" Sort of a dumb question to be asking as Seven is always looking for her, but maybe the reason was different this time.
Truth be told, Seven doesn't need a good excuse, or an excuse at all to be looking for the girl. So it's likely that he doesn't have a good answer for her question. As she steps closer, he does the same, reaching out to nuzzle her neck with his nose if she lets him, "Just to make sure you're ok. Winter always worriesme, you know that." Last Winter was terrible...
If there was one thing not to worry about during winter, it was her. If Hali recalls correctly, it was him that needed the help the last time, not her. Nonetheless she apprishates the careing efforts he's trying to offer her. Nuzzling Seven in return she says, "Thats very kind of you, but you don't need to worry."
He doesn't have to worry? That's impossible for him, everyone knows that... Specially her. The wolf lets out a chuckle, bumping his nose to her cheek, able to face her completely. He missed her scent and those eyes (not blue, huh?) "You know I try... But I'm always worried about you." At least he's honest, like most of the times. The wolf almost forgets that Bodhi is there, almost hypnotized by her prescence, "I heard you were looking for Johari, need help?"
Halidari knows all to well that it's practically impossible for Seven not to worry. The moment he didn't she'd think something was wrong. Letting out a smile, she chuckles herself. "I know, I know." Backing up to take a seat, she nods. "I'm not looking for her exactly." The fox was found several weeks ago. " Rather, I was going to go with Lyk to see how she was doing. Make sure she was capable of making it through winter before it started to snow." Knowing that she didn't actually answer his questions, she knows that he'll probably ask to come along.
Come on, foxes can take care of themselves, they're awesome that much is true. The male hmms, turning his head to look around. Not much time left before it starts snowing, he knows it, "You have just a couple of days before it starts snowing in the forest. It's already started in the mountains." The wolf doesn't sit like her, he's tired of sitting and waiting for something to happen, weeks and weeks of the same thing, "Well... I guess I have two options. Help you find her or go back to Viridian to spend the winter. Your... Friend, Mia, doesn't want me here anymore unless I'm with you, so..."
It wasn't so much to ensure the foxes could make it through the winter, it was more like to ensure she made her farewells for the season incase it were to be the last they saw one another. To lose such a friend as Johari would be like putting a hole in her heart; a hole impossible to fill. Lookng up to the bare canopy of leafless branches, and the visable sky, the coolness that came from its greyness confirmed Seven's words; it was going to snow anyday now, and it scared her. Being caught out in the snow with the chance of not making it back; there was nothing more she feared. Looking back down to Seven with a slight nod she blinks. It wasn't really a surprise that Mia didn't want him here; she didn't want anyone here really, not even her. Head shaking she says, "Then I guess It may be best to come along with me." Hali wasn't to fond of Sev going to Viridian, if only cause she couldn't go there. As for Mia... well thats something to work on.
Going to Viridian is not a bad idea, he has friends there, and Silvan have offered shelter in the past. Sadly, he didn't accept last time, he almost lost his life during that time, if only he had listened to the old wolf. But that's another story, today's the present, and this time he is more careful with this kind of decision. As she offers him to tag along, the wolf nods slowly, nuzzling her neck and sort of offering support in case she would stand up, "We better get going then. As long as we're together, we'll be safe during the Winter." That of course if a storm doesn't catch up with them, like last time!
He is able to do what he wants, but that only means he'd be leaving her, and last time he did it nearly meant his life. Was he really willing to risk that again? Hali doesn't stand up as she is nuzzled yet again. When he suggests that they should get going, she looks across the way. "We best look for Lykaios first." It was his idea and she couldn't leave him here. "With the trhee of us, there shouldn't be any trouble." This she wants to believe.
Two things first... No, he can't do what he wants, if that were true, then things would be quite different between them, so that's one. Two, she wants to believe... But lets face it, it won't happen, obvious reasons. The wolf nods slowly, turning to where the other male was as he offers a bow to Bodhi, "Good luck." Winter is dangerous all the time, "Keep everyone safe, specially Storm and her pups." For all he cares, Mia can rot and die during winter, that would make things easier if he was to come back after the Winter. After that, the wolf waits for the girl to start moving or something, "We should find him fast, we're running out of time and we'll have to find a shelter on the way."
Why in such a hurry, was he really in that much of a rush to get there and back; whatever happened to spending time with her. Oh well. Looking back to Bodhi who is spoken to, Hali must agree. It would be hear careing for her mother and siblings, but this time; right now.. it'll have to be him. "Please Bodhi. For me." Standing, she turns from the wolf and begins to move around to where shelast saw Lyk, hoping he was still there.
Bodhi dips his head respectfully to both of them "ofcourse, since i'm not always out patrolling i take my duty to watch over the den all the more serious" a wry smile offered Seven "i'll do my best to ensure the safety of everybody."
Whatever happened to spending time with her? Well, that's the point. Bodhi is there, and he wants to talk with her, spend time with her but in private. So ok, Bodhi probably knows the whole story, or at least can take a pretty clever guess about Seven, but still. The wolf nose and smiles at the other male before turning back and pacing next to the girl, whispering to her before chuckling.
Nearly rolling her eyes at Seven, she says nothing as she continues her way over to where she last left Lyk. She did hear Bodhi behind her and nods her head. "Thanks." She tells him, flicking her tial the only was she knows how. When she meets up with Lyk just outside the brush, she basicly tells him she's ready to go before turning to Seven. "Ready to go?" Of course he was, he always is.
Seven is always ready, really. The wolf waits in silence, looking between the others and well, waiting to move on. He misses JOhari actually, long time since he saw the pup last. So it'll surely be nice to see her again, sure she's grown.
With that, they are off. Hali doesn't waste any time to take those first steps away from the densight. The faster they get there, the sooner they can get back and beat the brunt of the storm if there is one.
