Waterfall Pool
Tariro - Male Wolf (Alpha)
Coinin - Male Wolf
--------------------
Coinin has been away for a number of days. Not because he was upset about anything, but because he has learned that periodically its a good thing to spend a few days by by yourself to collect your thoughts, something like a mini retreat. At the moment he is carrying two rabbits in his mouth that he caught while he was away. He is hoping that he can talk to Tariro when he returns.
Circling back around a thirst digs at the back of the throat; the sound of a cough just breaking through the roar of the waterfall. Taking a seat at the pool, Tariro shakes his pelt, bits of water droplets spraying back against the falls. Moments after he dips his head to the crysaline surface ridding the pain of dryness before scanning the area for anything or anyone.
Coinin spots Tariro when he coughs. Usually Tariro is difficult to find but it seems that luck was with him at the present moment, "Hello." he says through his teeth as he holds the two rabbits. He begins to move toward the other wolf. When he comes to a distance of a few feet he lowers the rabbits down to the ground and bows his head, "How are you?"
A silence takes over Tariro as he looks over the area; listening to the falls, the snow, even the distant 'hello' from Coinin. Looking to him, it's the rabbits that first catch his gaze, following them to the ground as they are placed before him. Turning up to the wolf who brought them he raises a brow then smiles softly. "I'm well Coinin." He says, "Haven't seen you for a while; hows yourself?"
Coinin is doing quite well actually, "I took a few days to myself, and yes I'm doing quite well..." he says. He motions toward the rabbits, "I brought these for you. I wanted to thank you for allowing me to join the pack. I don't know what I would have done if I hadn't found Cerulean."
Tariro could possibly think of a few things but nothing turns to words, he just looks back down to the hares. "You are very welcome Coinin." His gaze shifts up without phycially turning away from the hares. "You didn't need to bring these just to say thanks, just having you here and watching the borders is thanks enough. Without you I'd be doing them soly myself and with that it is me who should thank you."
Coinin is pleased that he is at the very least being percieved as being helpful, "I still wanted too." he says. After all he owes Tariro a great deal. Besides sometimes its nice to do things for others, "As I said I've been away for few days thinking and there was something else that I wanted to discuss with you."
And Tariro is grateful even if he thinks the hares unnecissary. "I apprishiate your efforts then." What else was he to say about the matter; he couldn't turn down the meal it'd be rude. Turning back to the waters he says, "Oh.. whats on your mind?" He wonders getting another drink.
Coinin is slightly embarassed by the topic but he figures that there is no time like the present to ask, "I was wondering...if I were to find someone special...would that meet with your approval?" he asks. After all some packs are very strict about things like this and he doesn't want to get into trouble.
Tariro is in mid-lick when he hears this, looking up and back to Coinin. "Someone special..." It was hard for him to even think about partnership; the troubles he's had in the past. First the answer he was to give the wolf was 'no'. Why should he let Coinin find someone when he, himself, couldn't. But then, who would he be if he denied someone the comfort and satisfaction of such just because he couldn't. It wouldnt be fair. "That all depends, have you?"
Coinin had hoped for something along the lines of a straight yes, but still he is the alpha and he has a right to ask these questions. Coinin shakes his head and smiles, "No." He has not even looked seriously and he wouldn't have at all without asking Tariro's permission, "I'm simply planning ahead." he says.
Not giving Coinin the answer he wanted was the true Tariro coming out. He wanted to know the full extent of the situation before just accepting it. Hearing the 'no' he sighs. He had hoped that he had, it would have promoted one of the things on his mind. "If you are lucky enough to find someone, I would like to meet her." He had his reasons of course. By saying this he was allowing Coinin to find someone special but whether he'd let anything further happen with it remains undecided.
Coinin is slightly disappointment by the whole thing, but he isn't going to let any of that show. After all it would be exceptionally rude, and rudeness is something that he detests. You can disagree with someone but rudeness is never called for, "I understand." he says in response. After all the answer wasn't no. If the answer had been no he would have accepted it surely, but it would have been bothersome. He isn't so much interested in finding someone special, but rather is sort of lonely and viewed that as one way to solve the issue.
Trouble had returned, or so that is what one might assume. From the trees emerged what first appeared to be a sincerely bloated deer, possibly drunk on whatever it ate. It lumbered about, a walking feast before the waterfall pool and wolf duo, but then another head emerged. It was Helaku, carrying a quitely dead deer on his back. The wolf readily approached the two and casually jumped the feast on the snow at his paws. "Happy new year," he deadpanned, staring at the two as if they shouldn't question how the hell he obtained a deer.
Tariro wasn't sure what to say to the wolf; thinking that his response was suitable for the time being. Had they met and this topic brought to him earlier he would of gladly allowed the search without thought, but things are changing in the pack and a sense of order needed to be kept. "I know its not the answer you expected from me, but in time you see why I've said what I have." Standing as he says this he tries not to frown. Before getthing the chance to do anything else, a sudden thus catches his attention. What the... Happy new year.. someone is surely ahead of themselves. Looking about he spots Helaku and is rather amazed by what he finds.
