Ahiga - male adolescent wolf
Tala - female adolescent wolf
---Creek Overhang---
It's one of those winter days in which the whether is not horrible. It's not blustery. The snow is not blinding and whipping in one's face. It's one of those lovely winter days in which everything is coated in white, making the whole world look clean and new and just a little glittery. Ahiga finds himself on the cliff overhang that looks over the creek that, by now, is mostly frozen. His ears are perked as he peers out across the water below. He's had a lot to think about since his excursion to Cerulean, with Anoki's words still ringing loud in his ears. He exhales a frozen puff of a breath before licking his nose and lifting a hind leg to scratch at his neck.
Tala is moving along at a slow trot along the edge of the rather frozen river. Her blue gaze drifting over the area in front of her, ears perking at times as she pauses to look at the frozen water and taps it a few times with a forepaw. With a few flicks of her tail and hops out onto the ice, a faint giggle almost escapes her as she half slides in one direction, and then another while trying to grip at it with her claws.
Ahiga blinks. Movement. It's Tala down there! He begins to grin as he watches her, head tilting as she moves out upon the icy water. Blink blink. There's an initial spark of worry at first, but the ice seems sturdy enough and his grin returns. He crawls backwards a bit, still on the ledge, trying to move out of sight. He glances left and right, eyeing the snow. Quickly, he begins to dig a bit, piling up snow, doing his best to pack it down with his paws and nose. In the end, he has a horrible excuse for a snowball that he rolls up to the edge of the cliff. He suints his eyes, takes aim, then SWATS his snowball toward her!
Tala is rather careful about where she is, she knows to keep to the more shallow places that are iced over so if she was to fall through she wouldn't get in trouble. She bounces back to dry land so to speak and is well.. Right in path for the snowball. She looks back in time to get hit with it square in her face. A sharp yelp! Escapes her more from surprize then actually hurt.
Bullseye! Ahiga hops up and whoops! in triumph as his snowball hits its mark. His tail begins to wag from side to side before he makes his way down the slope of the overhang, half walking, half sliding. When he reaches the bottom, he gives his body a quick shake and then nonchalantly wanders towards the snow-faced Tala, feigning surprise. "Hey...what /happened/?" he asks in a voice that sounds too innocent.
Tala is sitting down by the time Ahiga reaches her, a forepaw lifting to wipe the snow off and she peers at him smirking a moment. "I dono.. Someone kicked a snowball at me.. Gee.. Who could that have been." She states while eyeing him, snow still sticking to her face.
"Say whaaaat?" he says with wide eyes, mouth hanging open in shock. "Who would do somethin' like that, huh?" Ahiga tsks and shakes his head, looking at her with a sympathetic look. "Poor you. Don' worry Tala, I'll track'm down, and when I find that...snowball kicker, I'll bite'm in the arse. Promise." He grins. "Oh hey...ya got a little somethin' right there." Moving closin, he leans in a little to touch his nose to her cheek, buzzling slightly to brush a bit o the snow away.
Tala chuckles softly. "Oh I bet you will indeed." She says with an amused tone. At the faint touch of his nose to her cheek she pauses, a ear twitching forward as she watches him. She smiles a moment. "Thanks.." Is said softly. "So how you gona bite yourself?" A wink is offered.
Ahiga pulls back, if not slightly reluctantly, and sits. "Welcome," he answers, just as gently. At her quip, he snickers and rolls his eyes. "It wasn't me. Y'think I'd do somethin' like that to ya, Tala? Pft, not me." He grins, glancing at the river. "M'glad we're back home. Cerulean's cool 'n all, but...m'glad we're here. Can't believe they have that jackass with'm though. I feel sorry for Anoki."
Tala smiles and hums.. "Either you or Ikuna." She offers while poking at him while a wink is seen as she shifts to her paws and makes her way on up towards the ledge he was at before. "I have to say I'm sorta glad to be back home too.. Even more so if that stupid wolf is there with them." A shake of her head seen.
Ahiga stands as she moves off, watching her go for a moment. He swallows and licks his muzzle before following after her. He trots a little to catch up, then slows when at her side. "Hey Tala? You're not still made at me...are you?" he asks, sounding hesitant. "I mean, I know you were sorta...pissed, I guess, when I came to get you."
Tala settles herself down on the overhang, a ear perking and she glances over to him. "Naw.. I'm not mad at you anymore Ahiga.. Really." Is said softly, a forepaw slightly scrapes across the ground a few times and she looks down. "I just suppose I get the point now. An.. I just have to get over it."
Ahiga licks across his muzzle again, nodding to her. When she settles upon the frozen down, he sits down next to her, close enough that his fur slightly grazes hers. He inhales a breath slowly as he listens to her last statement, and as he exhales, he watches her closeles. "..Nah, I don't think you really get the point, Tala."
Tala ear twitches as she watches him amoment before looking off, her nose twitching. "Well.. Then what am I suppose to be getting?" She questions. As for him being close to her she did pick it up, but is trying to look elsewhere so to speak..
His tail lightly wiggles against his side, a vague show of nervousness. He watches her a while longer, though eventually succumbs to looking somewhere else, again eyeing the frozen lawn across the frozen river. "You're...hot. An' I'm not the only one who thinks it, either. When I look at ya it's like...you're like the greatest thing I've ever seen." His tail wiggles a little more, and he does his best to try to sit on it. Ugh. "You're pretty awesome, Tala."
Tala is quiet as she hears him, perhaps a bit surprized at what he says. She glances over towards him, watching him closely. "So.. Why did you think I should go and vist with Anoki too then?" She questions after a few moments.
"Cuz..." Ahiga hesitates then pauses. He's thinking over his words before he speaks them. Whenever he speaks to her, it always seems is if he says the wrong thing, and he doesn't want to blow this! "Because...he's smarter than me," he admits, not looking as if he's /liking/ what he's saying, but it is (at least to him) the truth. He glances over at her. "Like I said, you're awesome. Your mom 'n dad were Alphas. You're a good hunter. You don't let anybody push you around. I like that about you.." said with a small hint of a smirk. "An' then, there's me. My mom dumped me. I don't even know who my dad is. I'm like..a screw up. I jus' thought, maybe you'd be happier with somebody like him instead've of somebody like me."
Tala blinks an she turns to better look at Ahiga a few moments.. Her ears lower befoer she shifts forward and lets her head press under his chin while she presses her shoulder against his. "Ahiga.. Yes my parents were alphas, doesn't mean anything though." She offers, a soft smile seen. "An I don't think his smarter in eveything.. Everyone is better at somethings then others you know?" This said softly. "I don't think your a screw up at all.. An truthfully.. I''ve always been very happy with you.. Your my best friend.. An more to me.." She murmurs out softly as her eyes close.
Ahiga swallows a little and freezes at her touch. She's never pressed against him like this before, and he really can't find a single thing to complain about! Well, other than the suspicion that his heart might not be beatng anymore, and he's terrified of taking a breath! Stillness seems to be key, and he keeps very still. Even hat wiggling tail seems to have become inanimate. But the more the talks, the more comfortable he begins to feel. He finally exhales the breath he's been holding, and his heart seems to kickstart again. He lightly rests his chin upon her head. "So...would it be alright with you, if some male came around an' started lookin' at you, I bit his face off 'n said you were my girl?"
Tala stays happly pressed up against Ahiga, her head lowering slightly so her cheek presst against his chest, and she feels along with hears his heart beating. She actually seems rather calm, and relaxed which is something she hasn't been for a long time. A soft smile crosses her muzzle. "Of course.. But only if I get to help you bite his face off.." She murmurs out softly.
Yes!! He did it without saying something stupid! Ahiga's tail, which he had been sitting on, begins to thump against the ground happily. Phew. That wasn't so hard (yeah right) and now he's feeling something rising in him. Something that's making him want to jump and run and play and nip and laugh and howl all at the same time! And with that, he's strangely feeling calm as well, just as ready to stay just as he is, cuddled up against her quietly, talking about biting of faces of wannabe suitors. "Oh hey," he says, ears perking a little. "We gotta make sure Ikuna knows we're all still cool. I think he was upset before because he thought we were gonna...hell, I dunno. Run away and leave him, or leave him out of stuff."
Tala tail sways a few times against the ground while she snuggles and stays close to Ahiga. A faint burr escaping her infact proving she is a rather content wolf at the moment. She nods at the talk of her brother. "Of course.. He needs to know what is going on." She's never kept anything from him after all.
It's not a huge deal anyway, right? It's not as if they're having puppies or something major and grown up like that! Ikuna will understand. At least, Ahiga hopes so. But after a while his thoughts begin to drift slightly away from Ikuna, focusing more on the warmth shared with his new girlfriend (ooooo!) and wondering just what changes this /does/ entail. Other than the Alphas, whom he hardly sees, there aren't any wolf pairs to really model after. Ah well. He'll figure it out. "You wanna stay here for a while? Once we get back to the den, there's Althaea and Hadir, an' they don't ever stop. S'like they're never tired, ever."
As far as Tala sees it, Ikuna will have to be ok with it.. I mean.. WHY wouldn't he? Not like he has feelings towards Ahiga, right?.. There BOYS that doesn't happen. So she doesn't give it another though. As for what 'couples' do, hell if she knows, she never got see much of her parents together, and her brother is not that forth coming ater all. She chuckles. "There puppies.. They don't get tired, and there's no off switch.. But.. ya if we could stay here a bit longer that would be nice.." An that may be because she is snuggling up against him at the moment.
Ahiga smirks and rolls his eyes. "Well, at least there're jus' /two/ of them. If we were like that when we were little...then I kinda feel sorry for Chewy." The poor girl had her paws full! Asku too. He fully relaxes on his stomach now and dares resting his head over her neck. Her winter pelt makes for a comfortable pillow, and..hey, he has to admit, this laying together thing is pretty nice. Despite the fact that he's lain next to her and Ikuna probably /hundreds/ of times before, it seems a little different now. His ears perk at a sudden thought though, and his brows furrow inquisitively. "Hey...Am I supposed to talk to Skahla or somethin'? I mean, he /is/ your brother, and Alpha.." A combination that could be bad if Ahiga was to do something stupid henceforth. "Plus, remember all that stuff with Wachiwa's brother? Didn't he do somethin' without askin' your dad and got in big trouble for it? Or somethin' like that?"
Tala chuckles once more. "I bet we was worse then them.. Cause there was /three/ of us." She points out. A smile may be seen as he lets his head settle upon her neck, which she lets stay seeming happy. At the talk of Skahla there is a slight pause and she licks across her nose, not sure it seems before coming up with a decision. "I'll talk to him.." This is a rather important deal after all, and for her to even suggest that she will talk to Skahla should prove how serious she is about Ahiga.
Ahiga wrinkles his nose a little before lifting his head from her. "/We'll/ talk to'm," he corrects, vaguely smirking after. "We're in this together anyway, right? Plus, if you go to'm and I'm not there, he'll probably jus' think I'm a scared lil' pup or something, then he /really/ won't want me around you." He'll have to show Skahla what he's made of.
Tala ears perk and she smiles before nodding. "Alright.. we're /both/ talk to him.." She offers with a thump of her tail and a soft snort escapes her. "Skahla doesn't already talk to me as it is.. Why would he care?"
"I dunno how Alphas think," admits Ahiga who settles his head back down upon her. "Buuut he might not like us gettin' together without him knowin' about it since he's supposed to know everything that goes on or whatever." A pause. "Plus," he adds a little softer, more genuinely, "I wanna do this right. I don't wanna mess it up and screw up my chance to be with you." A tail wiggle, but he forces it still. His eyes slide shut after that, and very lightly does he nuzzle his muzzle against her, fallin into comfortable silence.
Tala is quiet as she hears him, taking in a soft breath and a faint smile can be seen. "Alright.. Alright.. Good point.." She offers softly before letting her head press against his chest as she snuggles closer to him. So they will do it the 'right' way.. An if that doesn't work, well there find a way.
---The Next Morning---
Ahiga and Tala, plus...
Ikuna - male adolescent wolf
---Creek Overhang---
Hmmm. Ikuna hasn't seen Tala or Ahiga in a bit - not that there's anything going on, right? There shouldn't be, last he heard everyone was friends and it was all cool after Ahiga went off and got Tala from Cerulean and they all went hunting together. So, not that there's anything going on, clearly, buuuuuut he's decided to go looking for them. He goes all a-wandering, along in the early morning light, sniffing at tracks and making somewhat of a patrol as he does, until he finds his way up to the edge of the creek. Sniff, sniff... oh, yes definitely a recent scent of them here. Up along the rise he comes, and then he finds them, all cuddled up together from the night - Ahiga with his head resting over Tala's neck. Just as they've been, these friends, a hundred times before (or more). Nothin' out of the ordinary. Yeah... okay, so why is his heart doing a little flutter? Calm down, you stupid heart. Calm! He takes a moment, and a deep breath, before he wuffs in greeting.
Tala is actually still asleep, an why not? She is cuddles up against Ahiga like she's done so many times in the past.. Though now it just feels different, more cozy and snuggly warm perhaps. A ear twitches forward slightly as she seems to catch the movement, there is a slow stretch and a yawn escapes her while she slowly lifts her head. She blinks a few times before catching sight of Ikuna, whome she offers a smile too. "Hey Ikuna." A glance is offered to Ahiga and she smiles before shifting to settle on her haunches, her side half pressed against Ahiga as she's still waking up.. An we all know how long that can take.
Yup. They're still here. Ahiga truly didn't /mean/ to fall asleep, but hey, it was comfortable and still is. And he's still sleeping, thankfully /not/ drooling all over her fur because that'd just be ridiculous. He's lock track of time. Night has passed and it's now daytime, and he probably should be rising early to do some patroling, scouting out what prey is left. But he's much happier just being a lazy wolf, sucking up Tala's warmth. Meh, that is til Tala starts moving and wakes him up! As she shifts, he groggily peeks an eye open, then closes it again...but then is forced to open both of them when she sits up. "Ungh..." His head slides from her and resettles on his paws, eyes closing again. "'Kuna..." he says in groggy greeting, still about eight two percent asleep.
Yep. Here's Ikuna's answer for what his friends have been doing: Sleeping. They have so been sleeping. Just sleeping. Nothing more'n that. The young wolf grins, and trots closer before sitting down on his haunches with his tail thumping lightly at the ground. "Heya," he says, and glances side to side before adding, "Puppies were keeping you awake, huh? Can't say I blame ya..."
Tala leans over to bump her head against Ikuna's shoulder, her tai thumping a few times and half hitting against Ahiga in the process. "Couse.. There puppies isn't that there main job?" She says while grinning. Another yawn escapes her, tongue sticking out slightly as she does so. Her forepaw lifts to rub across her face a few times.
"Puppies.." Ahiga snorts, yawns, and forces his sleepy eyes open. "They....do too much," he complains in a sleepy tone, his words interrupted by a yawn. He twitches an ear and raises his head, looking from Ikuna to Tala, smirking as he returns the tail thump to Tala's side. "Hey, we owe ya," he says to Ikuna, ears perking. "No way could I deal with them by myself. It's...a lot've work." His tongue licks around his muzzle a few times, which helps a bit in the waking up process.
"Good mornin', sleepyheads," says Ikuna with a grin, and leans in, nuzzling at Tala and then Ahiga. "Yeah, I guess it must be," he says to his sister, and then grins to Ahiga. "You, nothin'. It's not like they're /your/ puppies," he says with a laugh. "Sure makes you realize why the alphas plan out who's allowed when. Imagine if there were four litters of 'em at once!"
Tala tibbits out softly at Ikuna, a soft laugh escapes her. "Well that is true.. I think we would all go insane with four litters running around causing havoc an so forth." She looks crosseyed at the thought.
Who's allowed when? "Is /that/ how it works?" questions Ahiga, sounding curious. "Never wondered," he admits with a snicker as he rolls onto his side, then back, resting his paws on his chest in comfort, "but it's kinda cool to know, I guess. But...sh'yeah, too many puppies ain't good for nobody. Specially not me." He grins, looking up at them both, and he raises his forepaws to batbat up at them. "What do y'all wanna do today? Don't think we need to hunt again right now, or do we? Oh!" he perks his ears. "Tala was slidin' on ice the other day. Looks like fun."
Ikuna grins to Tala, and then nods to Ahiga. "Well, yeah. That's why those other wolves that were born near us weren't at the den... 'cause nobody asked permission for 'em. Some other stuff too, but mostly 'cause of that." Figures Ikuna was the one who paid attention, even back then. He leans to the side and tries to chomp a batting paw, then grins. "Nah, think everyone's pretty well fed for now... the pups were chewin' on bones when I left." He grins wider. "Ice sliding's fun... least, once you get over fallin' down all the time. We used t'do it last winter, and bat around little stones... like crabapples only better."
Tala grins and nods. "Its always fun to go sliding on the ice, just have to make sure its thick enough to hold you an what not." There is a pause and she nips at the paw before nodding at what Ikuna says. "That's right.. Wasn't that Chewy's brother?.."
Mwuaha. Two nipping wolves. Ahiga makes a game out of baiting the both of them with his paws, waving them toward their faces and then jerking back to try to avoid teeth. And oh hey, that's what was going on with Mori? "Yeah an' look how /those/ pups turned out," he snickers. "There was more'n one, right? There was that one weirdo boy that showed up right when that Helaku jerk was around. Thought he said he had a sister, but I never saw'er. And now, neither've them are here. If they /are/ still in whatever den they said they lived in out somewhere, they don't come sniffin' around here anymore." He snorts, eyes rolling. "And he was whinin' about how he was part've the pack an' all that." Batbat. "Wanna ice slide?"
Ikuna nods to his sister. "Mori. Yeah. He went off and had puppies with Hinto's mate Lupin." Double-whammy, that one. Puppies without permission and cheating! "Dad was really mad and yelled at him a bunch." Not mom, oh no. For that one, even-tempered /Hahtalekin/ yelled at the offender. That's how you know it musta been serious. Ikuna nods to Ahiga, and shrugs. "I never met 'em, not either of them. Maybe they all went off to start their own pack or something." No worry of theirs, anyway, not unless one of them shows up again! He grawrs and pounces up from his seat to wag. "Yeah, let's go!"
Tala huffs out softly at that. "Ya I remember that time he was yelling at Mori.. An he was so rude to dad. I'm surprize dad didn't chew him up and spit him out." She offers with a snort while she hops up onto her paws and grins. "Sure.. bet I'll beat you guys there!" This said as she bounces off and starts running towards the iced over water.
So that's how one majorly pisses off an alpha male. Have pups with someone without first asking permission to do so, and have that someone be someone else's mate! Well, Ahiga is feeling a little better knowing that. He's definitely not looking to have any pups for goodness sake. Definitely not pups with some claimed female. Yeesh. Maybe approaching Skahla about Tala isn't going to be as rough as he imagined! Brightened by this, he rolls over onto his stomach and then to his paws, shaking briefly. Tala takes off, and he soon follows suit, purposefully bumping and swatting at Ikuna as he aims to bound by, descending the slope of the overhang with leaps, bounds, and quite a bit of whooping.
Ikuna grins, and bounds into motion after Tala, nudging back at Ahiga and fighting him for position... not that there isn't plenty of room for both of them, but that's not the point! He laughs and grrs and shoves, and Tala... oh, Tala is going to have an easy time getting there first with the two males wrestling so determinedly for second place!
Tala grins as she hears the door and does indeed the ice first! Without a glance back towards them she goes sliding out onto it with a loud laugh escaping her. Her claws grip at the ice as best she can and she spins about to face the pair to see where about they may be now.
Jostle! Shove! Push! Run! The snow that's kicked up with the male's race after Tala makes a pretty impressive display as it flies up and falls back down to the ground. Tala's first place is uncontended, and Ahiga's paws press down onto the cold and slippery eyes at about the same time as Ikuna's. But unlike Tala who had a little experience with the surface yesterday, he does not curl his toes to press his lcaws against the ice for grip. Nope. Instead, he ends up sliding forward and flailing as he fights for balance. "Woah!" his front legs cross while his hindquarters meet the ice rather ungracefully. "Ow!" Score one for the frozen creek!
Maybe Ahiga's paws landed on the ice just a second before Ikuna's. On the other hand, when Ikuna moves forward.. it's on four paws instead of on his butt! He laughs at the sight of his friend going askew, and prances (carefully!) around him. "No, no, no.... You gotta be smooooth. Smooth like one of Anoki's fish!"
Tala grins at the two and chuckles while she shifts her weight and slides to the side, her claws catching just enough to keep her from going splat on the ice it seems. A soft laugh escapes her while she watches them. "Nice Ikuna.." She winks at her brother. "Just try to use your claws more!" She's done this a few times from the looks and sound of it.
Ahiga wrinkles his nose and glares at showoffy Ikuna. "Huh. Yeah I /meant/ to do that," he snorts, fighting back a smirk as he very, very carefully uncrosses his front legs and gathers his hindlegs beneath him. Ok, he can do this! Keeping his balance, he slowly rising, doing his best to dig his claws in as Tala suggested. He halfway stands, wobbles a bit....then fully rises. Success! "HA!" he says triumphantly, ears and head rising. But although he stands, he daren't move and instead just stands there like a semi-wobbly statue. "Yeah, I'm smooth. See me bein' smooth? I got this." *cough*
Ikuna grins at Ahiga's glare. Whaaaa? Just 'cause he's practiced this before or something! He heads over to Tala and gives her cheek a lick, then grins back at Ahiga. "Yeah, you got this." Toooootally. Just so long as a stiff breeze doesn't come along, or... oh, hey! Ikuna notices a flattish stone that got dislodged during the scramble downhill, and heads over that way at a slippy-slidey pace. He braces with three paws as he nudges at it with the fourth, batting it around a bit and glancing over at Ahiga... then taking pity on the wobblewolf and batting it toward Tala instead.
Tala snickers as she hears Ahiga and slides up behind him nipping at his tail before zooming to the side and her claws are heard scraping against the ice. "Sure you do.. Smooth as grass.." She offers back with a laugh! There is a pause as she eyes the stone and grins while turning about and smacks it with a paw to send it back towards Ikuna with a wiggle of her hips.
Ok this isn't so bad. After standing there for a while, Ahiga musters up his bravery. He's not gonna fall. He's not gonna look foolish. And he's not gonna bust his butt! If they can do this, well dern it, so can he! He lifts a paw about a microcentimeter from the ice, scoots it forward perhaps two micromillimeters, and places it down. Look! He moved! Smirking, he eyes Ikuna with triumph, though the look soon turns to curiosity as he spots teh other male with a rock. "Hey!" he nips towards Tala in retaliation for the tail nip..but really, since he's not moving, he really only nips at air! "Hey, grass is pretty smooth when it rains 'n stuff.." he points out, eyeing the rock that's being batted. "Hey hey! Pass it over here!"
Oooh, that's just a bit out of his range... Ikuna scampers after the stone, starting to slip for a moment but then digging in his foreclaws and swinging his rear around in a (semi)controlled slide that brings him to a position with one leg stretched way out and the other one crouched down under him as he stops the rock with a forepaw. Totally didn't fall, nope. He scrambles back upright, and grins over to Ahiga. "Awright, here it comes!" he says, and ker-thwap, there's a rock flying across the ice at high speed!
Tala looks ratehr amused as she watches the two, shifting the weight on her paws so she doesn't stands till for long. One way to keep from sliding down, don't give the ice a chance! She laughs as she hears Ahiga. "Really.. I'll have to remember that one." She calls out with a snort as she watches the rock go flying towards Ahiga.
That was totally a fall, Ikuna, and Ahiga /would/ point and laugh if he trusted three paws to hold him up. So instead, he just laughs, "Baha!" he teases with a playful wag of his tail. "An' Tala, I.." that's as far as he gets before noticing that a small missle is being projected right at him. Hey! What happened to taking it easy on the beginner! Ok, here it comes, here it comes! He lifts a paw, waits for it...and swings! A swing and a miss! The rock slides on past as his swing is swung just a hair too late! The force of it causes him to slip and rotate a full 360 degrees before sliding to a stop. Oops!
Ikuna grins wide as he's mocked. The great secret of ice is that falling down is nearly as much fun as keeping to your feet! ...at least, once you're relaxed and willing to go with the flow, er, slide. He pads after his rock at a slower pace, and watches as it zings right past Ahiga to bury itself in the snow of the bank and Ahiga goes round and... does not, in fact, fall. Ikuna laughs anyway!
Tala chuckles and lifts her head while looking at Ahiga, ears perking before she blinks and laughs as he goes swinging about and can't help it.. She falls over laughing and sliding across her side upon her side in the process.
"Oh, so ya think I'm funny, huh?" mock growls Ahiga, glancing from Tala, to Ikuna, then back. He makes a grand show of rolling his shoulders, loosening them for the "ultimate attack of revenge for being laughed at" and stuff. Then, he bounds forward, using his claws for traction. It's not very good traction though, for as fast as his paws are moving, the going is rather slow But hey, he's moving!(even if it is in a half sliding sort of way) He heads to the both of them, gnashing his teeth together. "I'll get you both!"
Yep. Ikuna totally does. In fact, he keeps right on giggling, even as Ahiga comes chasing after him! He flees in mock terror... rather slowly, 'cause he doesn't want to get out too far ahead of Ahiga. So there's a lot of peering back and grinning or waggling his rump tauntingly, and a lot of zigzagging back and forth down along the creekbed!
The nerve! /Taunting?/ Oh, Ikuna is really gonna get it no-"OOMPH!" Utter fail. Just as he was gaining on him, Ahiga slips again, falling chestfirst on the ice. He slides forward a few feet, legs splayed in all directions. "Hey man, you're cheatin' somehow!" he calls, grinning through his wince. Ice is hard! Cold. Slippery. Yet...a /ton/ of adolescent fun!
Tala is soon up on her paws and sliding over towards the pair, grinning all the while. She hops over Ahiga and moves to try and tackle Ikuna across the ice. She is giggling all the while..
Ikuna turns back around to look at Ahiga, and grins! He skates his way over, and leans down to nudge at Ahiga's shoulder firmly. "Totally. Biggest cheater of 'em all. Welll... 'cept for Tala." He looks up and over at his sister, and grins to her before glancing back down at Ahiga... just in time for Talapounce! "Eeeeep!" goes the Ikuna, as Tala crashes into him and sends him flying to the ice, his paws wrapping up around her and flailing as the two of them slide along!
