Ok so, this is not a log...but it should have been a log, so here's the story.
I lost the log. And that's saddening because it was a good one! And it's all my computer's fault that it is now history, never to be seen again.
But, because it is pertinent, I feel as if I should write a quick summary of what went down so you (whoever "you" may be!) can be kept up to date on the happenings of the Ute pack.
So! One day Ahiga and Tala were together in the maple glade. Tala was acting .. not her normal self. Very worrisome. Tense. After some conversation, she broke the news to Ahiga that *gasp!* she will be having pups! Ahiga's reaction was immediate. Happiness! Excitement! All the things a soon to be daddy wolf should be.
But then he realized the problem. The reason for Tala's tenseness and worry. What if these pups were not his pups at all, but in fact another batch of grotesque half breeds? What if Tala was to be the mother of constant reminders of the terrible deed that happened? Constant reminders of Ahiga's failure to protect his mate? Insert much inner woe, though for once Ahiga did not turn tail and hide. He did his best to put on a brave face for Tala's sake, and both reassured one another that Ute's newest pups would belong to Ahiga.
But really, such a promise could never be guaranteed.
