Making a quick checkup at home.. Hali finds her younger siblings out a play. After gaining their attention she offers her assistance with taking them out to see the forest beyond the den.
Scene
With evening settling over the land Helios is just now making his way out of the den. The red hude wolf gives himself a shake and stretches out his long limbs before a yawn escapes him. Once his more awake he flops down on his haunches and glances around to see if anyone else might be awake or around for that matter. A faint huff escapes the young mail and he shifts back to his paws and starts to move away from the den sniffing around the ground as he goes.
It's evening; Riko is /guaranteed/ to be awake. The day-blind wolfling is already outside, entertaining herself with trapping an old, dead leaf under her paws. Dark ears prick at the sound of Helios' yawn, and she looks over to him with a cheerful grin. Even better - a brother to pounce! And the pup suits actions to thoughts, bounding towards Helios with playful intent.
Brushtail is laying down nearby when she sees two of her siblings getting ready to have some fun, and she naturally cannot resist the urge to join in. She gets up and makes a beeline for Riko, to pounce her before she pounces Helios.
The day was slowly coming to a end, but that didn't stop Halidari from taking those last steps onto familiar ground; the whole was familiar really, but the densite was home. Reaching the undergrowth, the wolfess slips in avoiding the thorn bushes all the way up to the point where she can see through to the small clearing. When able, its a sight she always hoped to see: her younger siblings playing. Watching them as she slowly pushed into the open, Hali keeps quiet, her presence will be a surprise.
Movement? That is what catches Helios attention and he blinks looking over to see who is moving towards him. A sharp erk escapes him as he catches sight of Riko leaping towards him and he hunkers back attemping to escape the attack! As if that would /really/ work at the moment. As for the two other sisters he hasn't spoted them just yet it seems.
With Riko pouncing Helios and Brushtail pouncing Riko... well, it all winds up being one big tangle, but Riko doesn't mind in the least. She yips cheerily at the both of them, batting at the sister who targeted her before endeavoring to squirm out. Probably the better to pounce again.
Brushtail is yipping joyfully within the tangle of fur and paws. She feels her original target trying to escape and thinks to herself "You won't get away that easily, sis. Here comes Brushy..."
Closer and closer she walks, no intention of hiding whatsoever. How deep within the densite will Hali get before someone lays sight upon her. Each pup does the eldest sister draw her attention to as one by one becomes entangled within their own web; a distant smile and a soft chuckle come from her. quite amused by their efforts.
Helios struggles and kicks about while a few wruffs escapes him. "Aw.. Come on!" He calls out before his able to get up onto his paws out from under his sisters and shakes his fur out. A glance is offered over at them and he soon grins before leaping forward to tackle them both. "Death comes from the sky!!" He half yells out while laughing.
Bodhi slowly pads out of the densite as yawns widle and surveys the densite wondering what in the blazes awoke him, a wry chuckle escaping his lips once see sees the 'fighting' and hears Helios' comment
Apparently Halidari will pass unnoticed for a long time yet. Riko yelps as Brushtail and Helios subsequently gang up on /her/, batting and nipping at their coats. Okay, this wasn't quite in her plan. She squirms harder in the attempt to win free, but there's the slight problem of being outnumbered...
Brushtail yelps as she is tackled by Helios, "Hey, I was trying to get Riko before she got you. Is this the thanks I get for trying to help you?" In fact she is quite amused with the game, and is fully enjoying herself either way.
It was apparent that she wasn't going to be noticed by her siblings for the time being, so she looks up to find Bodhi coming from the inside. Now theres someone she can say 'hi' without interupting. "Evening Bodhi." she directs to him as she advances to his position. "I hope they didn't wake you." Not that she had anything to do with their antics.
Helios tibbits out at Brushtail. "Its all for one here.. Didn't you know that Brush?" He questions while grinning and hops off the pair and shakes himself off again. His head lowers and he peers at Riko. "You alright?" He questions while his tail sways about happly a few times. Up until he hears the voice of another and he looks around before catching sight of Halidari.
Bodhi smirks slightly as he looks over at Halidari then to the sky as she mentions the 'waking you' part "Evening Halidari, and no worries as it was about time for me to awaken anyhow" a wry smile on his lips as he leans forward to offer her a friendly nuzzle once close enough "How have you been?"
Peering up at Helios, Riko mock-swipes at his nose. There's no danger of it connecting. "I'm green!" Which is to say, 'fine'. She scrambles up to her feet and shakes the worst of the dust from her coat, then bounds for Hali. And Bodhi, of course, but - Hali! "Hi!" This time, the intent is not to pounce. Just to say hello to the older wolves.
Brushtail did not even notice the other wolves. "Oh, I'm sorry. I did not know we had others around. Did we wake you up? We are sorry." She starts towards them to greet them as well.
Halidari gives a gental smile to Bodhi as he implies it to be quite alright. Nuzzling the wolf back, she looks at him afterwards with health expression. "I've been quiet alright. Been checking out the nearby forest for anything troublesome." She's as of yet to find anything to worry about. When it seems that she'd finally been noticed, Hali turns over to her sisters and brother; an ear perking at the 'green' remark of Riko. "Still green are you." she chuckles. "Always good to hear." Reaching down, she gives the girl a nuzzle before glancing over to Brushtail. "Its completly alright, Brushtail. No need to be sorry." As Bodhi has said he needed to get up anyways, and as for herself, she's been awake for hours. The next was Helios, who saw her first, offering him a gentle nod.
Helios snuffles faintly and glances over to Bodhi and smirks some, he isn't sorry for waking him up! But then he is a little brat at this age right now. He settles back on his haunches, tail swaying about while he smiles to his older sister. "Hello Halidari."
Bodhi dips his head "Didn't find anything i assume?" His attention then diverting to the younger ones and offering those close enough a friendly nuzzle "Heya to the rest of you aswell" his gaze stopping on Brushtail for a moment as he speaks teasingly "you didn't expect there to be others around at the densite" an humored grin on his lips "and no need to be sorry, anybody still sleeping should be awoken" Helios is given a sligthtly raised brow as he keeps his humored grin.
"So are you!" Riko declares of her older sister. She waves her tail at the lot of them, then ducks out of the greetings and chitchat, marching back across the little glade. There is a leaf out here with her name on it, so to speak, and she's going to find where she left it! ...Or at least have fun trying.
Brushtail shakes her head, "No, I probably should not have been like that this late. Most of the adults are probably trying to sleep now."
With so many playful minds out tonight, Hali was more than expecting an ambush from her younger siblings, but gives not inclination of such should they not be thinking of the sort. With her brother still in her sights, Hali smiles. "Helios. I hope your day has been well." She hopes the same for all here. Cupping her ears back as Bodhi speaks, she head shakes turning to him. "Nothing to worrisome. A few dogs roaming about, but as long as we keep a watchful eye we should have nothing to worry about." Saying more than she actually intended, and probably causeing a bore amongst the younger crowd, she quickly moves on. With her sister reminding her that she /too/ was green, Hali chuckles. Yes, she was green for as long had Riko still it in her head that she was. Looking at them all now she wonders, "We didn't interrupt..." Looking down to Brush she slightly frowns. "Its alright to play Brushtail. Sometimes it can't be helped but to be load." Or have fun for that matter.
Helios tail sways about a few times while he looks after Riko before turning his attention to Bodhi then over to hali and ohs faintly. "You saw dogs?" He questions curiously. The young wolf knows his not suppose towander far from the den, let alone deal with dogs! But this makes him even more curious to say the least. "How many dogs was there?"
Bodhi puts his attention on Brushtail as to let Hali deal with Helios' curiosity "If you ask me, i'd have to say any adults trying to sleep at this time of night should be awoken, this is afterall one of the best times to be awake for a myriad of reasons" grins wryly "and Hali is correct in that its alright to play, and even be loud doing it"
Brushtail nods, "If you say so." She begins to grin mischievously at Helios when the thought of dogs sinks in, "Oh, there are dogs here? Where are they? May I meet them sometime? They might be fun to play with."
The remarks made by Bodhi and that of her sister bring Hali to a near chuckle, but keeps it in at the recall of her mention of dogs. Firstlooking to Helios, then side-glancing over to Brushtail, she takes a single breath not really sure is talking about dogs is a good course of action. "There was three." She beings to says, "But there was this particular one that I kept seeing over and over. twice infact." Looking to them both, she says, "But I recommend that none of you go looking for them. Dogs are dangerious and will kill you if given the chance." Which only reminds her of Aeron; Hopefully Lyk is watching out for her. "If you do want to go exploring, however, be sure someone is with you." Even herself is willing to go along.
Helios ears lower at the talk about dogs killing them. "But there /dogs/ we're wolves.. Wolves can take on ANY smelly dog." He points out matter-oh-fact like. His at that age were he thinks he can take on the world with nothing happing to him. "Alright.. We won't go no where.. Will we Brush?" He questions while glancing over to his sibling.
Bodhi retains his silence for now merely studying the others toughtfully
Brushtail shakes her head sadly, "Oh, alright. I won't go." She is disappointed at the loss of an opportunity to meet some new playmates.
Halidari smiles softly but also frowns. She didn't want to see them disappointed and taking away their privileges to go see dogs just seemed to crush them. "It doesn't matter the size, Helios. Anything can happen out there in the forest, whether you want it to or not." This she knows from experience. Upon hearing them say that they won't go out there, a slight disbelief is placed upon them, but she does make that assumption just yet. "I'm not saying you can't go out, I just don't want you to go looking for trouble." and dogs are serious trouble. "If you like, I can go with you, so you wants out there." However, with the first sign of trouble she'd take then right back.
Helios peers at Halidari curiously and smirks a moment before taking in a breath. "Alright alright.." His ears twitch slightly. "That would be nice.. Wouldn' tmind seeing something else around here."
Bodhi is skipping his turn.
Brushtail sighs in disappointment, "Okay." She is still unhappy that any treks outside the den will be avoiding dogs when she is accompanied. She really doesn't mind another adult nearby, perhaps to play with, but she really wanted to play with the dogs.
Without someone, yes there would still be dogs, but least there would be boundries keeping the youngers in line and out of harms way. Hali already knew what it was like to lose and feel the damages of outsiders.. she doesn't wish the same upon others. Noticing the disappointment in her sister, Hali moves up and gives her a slight nudge. "I'm sorry. I just don't want to see you get hurt." she tells her just above whispering levels. Looking to Helios she hmms. "Any place you'd like to see?"
Helios ears perk at the question before he looks to Brushtail, his tail swaying a few times. "Well.. I dono.. Where you wana go Brush?"
Brushtail grins, "I know. I just wanted to play with the dogs sometime." She turns to Helios, "I don't know where I want to go later on. Right now I want to go to bed. I'm tired all of a sudden. It must have been fighting with my siblings."
With Brushtail gone to rest, it just leave the three is them, unles Bodhi had left them too. Her attention fully upon Helios now, Hali raises a brow as if expecting him to know exactly where he wants to go. However, before she left him pick a place, she suggests this. "What if we just started anywhere, and if we run into anything interesting we'll go check it out..." Her brother couldn't object to much to that, could he.
Helios tail wags about at this suggestion and he nods while standing up. "Alright!"
Halidari smiles to this. "Alright then." standing up herself, she looks at herself first before turning out towards the open where they would now go and test their skills, or least she would. She just hoped he didn't try to wonder off.. finding someone in the forest was never easy.
Helios merely looks around as he follows after her. His careful not to keep so far beind her but also to not be that close at the same time.
Passing through the underbrush, at a near crouch, Hali stops just outside to looking the the many directions and possible places to go. In thought, she steps forwards afer a moment and heads towards the clearing.
Helios ears perk as he watches the older siblings, he wiggles about in a crouch before he goes crashing through the bush to the other side. He grins and wruffs faintly before trotting after Hali.
