Time is a precious thing for most, though when one is caught and trapped time can either tick by slowly or pass by quickly when one has no idea what may, or may not happen.
How long has it been? Who knows.
How long will they be here? No one knows this either.
Kachina is unsure is she will ever see anything save for the walls of the den and the thick logs that keep her and the wolf here. She stopped counting a long time ago, she stopped thinking someone would save her, and stopped dreaming about her mother and brother several nights ago.
When Anoki escaped she thought there was hope, though as the days passed, and the taste of freedom slowly wore off she isn't sure if Anoki will come back, or even remember her.
Her body hurts, the food they have been given is just enough to keep them alive, she's grown thin and spends most of her time sleeping, one out of boredom and two as she just doesn't seem to have the energy to keep herself awake.
Another night has come, from the back of the den she has watched the light turn dark around the logs, another day trapped with hope slowly slipping that she will ever be able to leave..
