Rayen hadn't moved far from where she'd fallen asleep after her conversation with Coinin the other night. Hoping to catch sight of her neice she didn't want to wander too far away from the most popular place in the packland. Rayen had also given more thought to speaking to Tariro and has been keeping watch for him as well. Sprawled out in the dryest spot in the slush she could find, Rayen lays looking up at the stars listening to the comforting sound of the river close by.
Kasa wanders into the area. She has visited here once before, looking for a possible mate. Although she knows that her chances for pups this year is slim, she will be glad to find a companion.
Coinin wanders in along the river. He had been out wandering the border to make sure that everything is as it should be, and largely this seems to be the case. There were some scents of some wolves that he didn't recognize, but that doesn't shock him much since there seems to always be visitors wandering in and out. He isn't sure how comfortable he is with that, but he doesn't know what he can do about it beyond keeping up with his patrols. He quickly glances around the area and soon spots Rayen, in for what all intents and purposes, is becoming her spot. He also notes the presence of another wolf, this one he doesn't recognize as readily, "Hello." he says to all present.
Kasa looks up and wags her tail happily. "hello there."
Tariro wasn't to far from the lingering group, standing next to the river bed with his head near its cool melting waters. Lapping at its surface, his gaze strolls over the area, tail swaying side to side. All seemed quiet till Coinin's voice breaks and draws his attention down river. Watching him for a moment, he lifts his head from the waters, droplets falling from his muzzle, he turns as an unfamiliar voice follows. Taking no real action to investigate, he remains standing as he looks to the shewolf in silence.
Ayita makes her way over to the river to drink, wagging her tail in greeting at Tariro
Her head lifts from the slush, eyes searching out Coinin at his familiar voice. She casts him a fond smile which flickers to curiosity at the unknown female's voice. Rayen was getting lazy in her stay here, she had no idea the other had even entered the area. She pushes herself to her paws swiftly, giving her pelt a good shake to rid it of the melted snow that stuck to it. Tariro is noticed not to far away in his silence and she dips her nose politely in his direction before her paws carry her in Coinin's direction. Eyes slip back to the unknown female, and then another, curiosity only growing but she says nothing for now.
Coinin has met Ayita before, but doesn't really recall meeting the other new guest. He too spares a glance over toward Tariro. He will take his cue from the alpha in how he wants to respond to these two new guests. He then glances back toward Kasa and Ayita and offers another polite, "Hello..." before continuing "...what brings you here?" he asks. He isn't being rude of course, but he is curious.
Kasa looks at Coinin. "I am simply wandering through, looking for a territory and mate to call my own."
A quick glance is given to Ayita as he notices her through the corner of an eye, nodding to her in short greeting, "Evening Ayita." Attention on the newer of the wolves to the area, he hmms in thought ears swiveling to every voice. Hearing Kasa he blinks. "You'll find that to be difficult here." Tar' states firmly. "These lands are claimed by the Cerulean, I its Alpha." Only those few words escape him as he looks to those of his pack- guests included.
Ayita lets her haunches fall with a heavy thud as she sits to rest.
Rayen attaches the name 'Ayita' to the wolfs face as she draws closer to Coinin. She listens intently as Tariro answers Kasa and hmms gently. Ray' slides back upon her haunches close to where Coinin stands, head tilted to the side curiously as she simply observes quietly.
Coinin hears Tariro speak and can't help but agree, it would be extremely unlikely that any of the pack wolves would be on the lookout for new territory as they already had a home, "I would have to agree with Tariro. Most of the wolves around here are pretty comfortable with their home here..." After all if they are pack members they would likely be very comfortable here. He offers a smile to Rayen and returns his attention to the guests.
Kasa bows her head in respect to the alpha, then replies, "It is quite a nice territory. I am looking at a spot a good ways to the southwest. I came to see if you, or any of you pack, have heard of other lone wolves in the same position as I.
A large, dark bird deposits itself in a tree. A few smaller ones clear out, the neighborhood clearly having gone south.
Back upon Kasa as quickly as he had looked away, the white wolf shifts his weight. "The wolves in this area are vastly spread; it would be hard to know if any fall into the same predicament." He honestly had no idea if there were other wolves that looked for a mate and territory outside the ones already known to exist. "Why do you seek these things anyhow?" Clearly it was easier to just join a pack where companionship and land came naturally. This he was curious about.
Kasa says, "I can not really say why... the best way I can describe it is a great desire to get out into the world, to be the alpha of my own pack. I'm not sure if it is reasonable, but I am going to try.""
Rayen arches a brow curiously as she listens to the females response. Gotta give her credit, she had guts. She frowns though as the two new faces to her decide to move elsewhere and peers to Tariro and Coinin curiously, that was interesting. It takes her a moment, sitting quietly in thought, before her brows lift and ears flick forwards, "Oh.. Tariro, I've been meaning to speak to you," she hesitates, "About staying permenantly with you and your pack. These lands and the wolves here have grown greatly upon me." She smiles gently, tail giving the ground a single happy thump.
Coinin watches the two guests wander off and glances over at Tariro as if to say 'wow' that one is definitely as bold as a brass. He is pulled from this train of thought by Rayen speaking. He now lets himself relax a bit and takes a seat as she asks Tariro her question. He had hoped that she would stay and had urged her to do so the other evening. He stays silent for the time being as this is a matter between the two of them. He lets his eyes wander upward into the tree. There is definitely a bird up there. He has been paying closer attention to the birds since he has met Dawn.
Yes, it is a bird. Very good! There are actually fewer birds than there were a moment ago, but surely this one counts for more than one. "Oh, look, it's some kind of meeting or seminar or official something-or-other. Maybe there'll be ceremony. I do so love ceremony." She's talking to herself, not really raising her voice.
Tariro listens to the female before she suddenly departs without a word; raising a brow rather confused. Kasa wanted all that because of a desire to get out into the world and be her own alpha... thats a rather peculiar reason. Not giving it anymore thought, he turns to Rayen when she addresses him. Ears perked, he listens to her and a smile creeps upon his face without even have to hear all of what she had to say. He had a feeling she's want to stay, she wouldn't still be here otherwise right? Though he hardly knew her it wasn't in him to send her away by telling her no when she and everyone else seemed so fond in one another. This he could see. "Rayen.." He starts, moving over to the shewolf. "As far as I'm concerned you already are a member of this pack. You've made friends here and to take all that away just wouldn't be right." Bowing his head he smiles. "I welcome you Rayen." He pauses for a moment looking over her then back.. "And what of your neice, Catori? Is she to stay with us aswell?"
A large wolfish grin spreads upon her maw as Tariro nears and speaks. It was true she did not know Tariro well but she hoped now that this was done with she could fix that. Rayen nods her head greatfully, "Thankyou so much Tariro, thankyou." When he asks her about her neice Rayen flicks an ear, "As far as I know, but until I can tye the youngin down to actually talk to her I won't know for sure. I'd like to still believe I can tell her what to do but unfortunately she is almost an adult, more so that she already is," Rayen smiles fondly. "She's still working things out on her own about finding her father.. I believe you may actually know him. Helios?"
Coinin remains largely quiet but a large smile spreads across his face as well. He knew that Tariro would allow her to stay...there wasn't a doubt in his mind, but still its nice to hear it. Well the pack seems to get larger by the day and that isn't a bad thing at all. He keeps his gaze largely moving back and forth from Tariro to Rayen. He'll add his own two cents when he has something useful to add. His ears perk a bit at the howl, he doesn't recognize it and is half tempted to go find the source. It is, after all, his job to watch the borders of the lands and it sounded fairly close.
Ayasha was, quite frankly, lost in the woods. She had given a few baleful howls some time back, and had since grown more encouraged at the smell and sound of (what she was fairly certain was) her own kind. The silvery wolf bounds panting through the powdery snow, the loose flakes flying up and clinging to her fur. Eventually, she draws closer, slowing down to catch her breath, her long pink tongue lolling out in the snow as thick steam rises from her panting maw. Slowly, she wanders up to the edge of the little clearing, ears perked forward as she peers around. "Hello?"
Dawn turns a keen eye on this latest addition to the dramatis personae. Well, well. Here's something.
Tariro awaited Rayen's response with a smile, wagging his tail rather pleased with the situation. "You are quite welcome." With another one added to the pack, the pressure was on. For the first time in ages he finally had a pack to lead that wasn't just his family, but was it coming to late. Leaving that to ponder another time his head tilts to the question of Helios. "I've met him once more twice." He hasn't seen the former Lazulian in quite sometime however. "I do hope she finds him. It would be nice to have her along." The recent howl is not ignored nor forgotten as it is now given attention. "That sounded close." Tar' glances around. "Coinin." Is all he says looking to the wolf.
Rayen can't hide the giddy happiness that is evident in her posture and body movement. A curious glance is spared to the bird before she looks back to Tariro and nods her head, "I hope so as well. She isn't aware that I've located, well not so much him as his brother who confirmed he was in the area." The howl makes her ears twitch to attention and she wonders if its one of the females from earlier, however when another new wolf comes into view and speaks she peers around Coinin curiously. The female, she was assuming was the owner of the howl, seemed a little out of breath.
Coinin is already on it. He raises himself to his paws once more and turns toward the sound of the howl. It did indeed sound close and his suspcion is proven correct when he encounters a voice from the edge of the clearing. He pads off silently toward the source of the voice. He isn't concerned, at least not at the present moment, but he is curious and he most certainly wants to figure out what is going on, "Hello." he calls back. Not wanting to be rude, and also not wanting to sneak up on whoever is out there.
Ayasha continues on, though at a slow canter now. She breaks the edge of the clearing, ears perked and alert as she spots the other wolves...Ayasha keeps her body stiff and alert, poised for action as she turns her head to peer at these wolves. Coming to a halt, she sniffs the air, tail raising slightly in a short wag. She looks around, still quite winded from her long trek, and finally asks: "Who is your alpha?"
Around here the howl could of belonged to anyone, but with its unfamiliar pitch, Tariro was put at a slight unease. Stepping from Rayen, standing to the side in front of her, its a distant figure that catches his eye. Letting out a half spoken howl, he falls quiet when the clearing takes upon yet another wolf. What are the chances... Watching this other he says, "Here." Moving from Rayen and toward this stranger wolf.
That wasn't the first thing she expected to come out of the females mouth thats for sure. As Coinin goes to meet the strange female and then Tariro answers her question, Rayen slides back upon her haunches to listen quietly yet intently.
Everyone more or less began to fall asleep about here...
