Woodland Clearing
Tariro - m. Wolf
Kasa - f. Wolf
--------------
The cold season was usually a time of fun and excitement but with Spring now at its face, the snow has begun to melt leaving the ground soft and ready to sprout new life into the world. Though for as much as that is looked forward to there is one who's state of mind fails to thaw. The clearing seeming to be as empty as his mind, Tariro sits there staring out onto the trees, the void that is the forest. Where was he and why was he here? He had traveled these parts countless times but today they seemed as unfamilar as the faces of his own pack. Coat brissled from the fadeing cold, the wolf stands to turn; there was a den nearby , he would head there.
Kasa pads into the area. It has been a while since Kasa has roamed these parts. For months she's looked for a suitable mate to start a pack of her own. However, since no oppertunities to start a family have come, she decides to take her chanced at joining a current pack.
The den a suitable place for any wolf to retreat from the cold, though a feeling of something else dug of the white wolfs mind. There was another purpose for this den but he could not remember. Far to large for him alone he stuck around with hopes of remembering why he was there. Within the outer lying parts of the clearing, Tariro comes to an abrupt stop as pawsteps slush through the sound of night, putting him in full alert. Gazing around the chances he'd find anyone appeared slim but to his own amazement there she was- A wolf he didn't know, much like everything else. Turning to face her, he watches closely her movements.
Kasa looks at the elder wolf and wags her tail rappidly. "Tariro!" she calls happily, moving easily through the snow towards him.
Wolves seemed to be a common occurrence here by the look of things though it never occured to him that might know one. Looking at the female he was silent even as she approached in a very friendly manner. The name she calls out held little significance to him despite it being his name. "I'm sorry, but do I know you?" His tone cautious. If he once knew this she-wolf, he doesn't know. Letting her near regardless of his lack of knowledge about her, he takes his chances.
You say, "I am not sure if you remember me. I came by here a few months ago looking for a territory to start a new pack. Speaking of which, where is everyone? Did something happen?" She looked around worried, and whined uneasily. "
Tariro follows her gaze out into the forest and sees her quandary. They were the only ones here this was obviously, however her wording gives way that something is amiss. What did she mean by 'everyone else'? He didn't know of anyone else least if all if anything had happened; other than the fact he can't remember anything that is. "I'm afraid I don't know what your talking about." He says rather truthfully. He didn't even know who she was but she clearly knew him.
You say, "Don't you remember your family, Tariro?"
Going back to the name she called him, Tar takes a moment to think it over. Atleast that part of him seems to stick somewhat. Looking back to the she-wolf he is dumbfounded by the word family. Was she saying that he had family out there? If it were true, where were they and would know them if he ever saw them. He hoped so. To forget something like that was... well, it was unforgiveable. "I.. I have a family?" Clearly he has forgotten and just the thought pains him.
You say, "yes. They ar failry close actually. Only a few miles from here. Why don't you remember?"
Kasa looks at the elder wolf kindly and lays down in the snow.
Why couldnt he remember this... how does one forget their own family? Inside he would cry but his outward appearance was blank and puzzled. She asked him questions not even he was sure he had the answer for. Looking to the ground in front of them both he head shakes. "I dont know." A popular phrase for Tariro right now. "I don't even know where I am just that woke up in this clearing my head hurting and..." A large case up top his head a probable cause. The sudden pause he makes brings the wolf to look toward the den he was heading for.
Glancing towards the den, Kasa asks "Would you like to head inside? You look cold. I can tell you all I remember from our last meeting. Maybe it'll bring something back."
It was where he was heading last but he wasn't sure heading there with someone he just met was the best idea, especially if the den was meant for someone else. It really did.pain him that he couldn't remember the reason. Stepping to the side Tariro allows the female room to move beside him. "I'd like that.. By the way, I didn't catch your name?"
Kasa gets up to head towards the den. With a soft chuckle, she responds "Oh, my name is Kasa. I came here from the North a few months ago to find my own pack... it hasn't worked out so well."
Not even her name was familiar and he had hoped it would be. Moving toward the den behind her Tar nods. "I'm sorry for your misfortune." Why hadn't she just joined his... he did belong to a pack right? Would of been easier than trying to form one. Stepping into the overgrowth and stopping just shy of the den he looks to Kasa in wander but doesn't say anything.
