Halidari F. Wolf (Lazuli)
Scene
Winter's gone, which is a good thing. Nothing bad happened, right? At least nothing bad that Seven noticed. Compared to last Winter, this one was pretty cool, relaxed, it was good and cold he would say. So ok, he didn't do what he had in mind, he was separated from the others for a good reason. Not very distant, and they know that, just not shoulder to shoulder like he wanted to, again for safe reasons. The wolf is pacing across the lands, the snow almost gone completely in some areas, others still tainted by the cool water. His paws can finally feel the rich soil below his paw, the Wind calling him name once again clearly. Almost as if he was lost, he wanders the forest without destination.
Halidari is slightly curled around her younger sister; tail swayed over keeping Aeron warm. Sleeping lightly, the cool air gently brushing against her coat but she doesn't shudder to it. With it no longer winter things have been rather clam; for the most part that is. The Spring birds sang and often at times Hali would listen to them when she was awake, reminding her of home when it was quiet enough. Up and down was her cheast as it rose and fell in her sleep; a slight eat twitch to the sound of thing unclear.
It's been some time since Hali was home, Seven wonders if that's a good thing or not. It's been at least a year since he last saw his family... And he misses them greatly, sure Hali can just walk back home unlike him. But still, he doesn't know if it's a good thing for Hali to be away from her family for so long, it's only been a season. The wolf changes course, heading to where his scent leads him, meaning Hali's direction. He's not far, and he's curious... Her scent is mixed, different. Once he spots the girl with another wolf, he figures out is someone from Lazuli, right? A brow is raised, surprised. But washes it away as he paces closer to her, wondering if she's awake or not.
Being away from home for so long was probably a bad thing, but her excuse is the former snow and the fact she doesn't want to leave anyone behind that she took along. Her parents never minded her venturious spirit, but... That watching feeling; it creeped on effortly as she slept and Hali curls inward around her sister. Ears are turned back as the sound coms closer; pawfalls is what it was but from whom. Taking a breath to test the air its only then that she picks of Seven's scent, and her ears go up.
The wolf stops pacing once he notices her reaction. So ok, she's not sleeping... Too bad, no nice wake up call. The wolf doesn't change direction though, slowly pacing again to her direction before he's merely inches away from her. What to say, what to do... It's been some time since they actually talked, but ok, end of story, turn the page, right? The wolf takes a step to the opposite direction of Hali's sister, laying on the ground next to her, close enough to give her cheek a little nip, "She followed you here?" The wolf keeps his voice as low as possible, not to wake the sister up.
Halidari may not of been asleep but she sure looked it, or least till she was niped at the cheek and spoken to. Opening her eyes, she looks at the wolf whos positioned himself beside her. A small amile always given to those she knows, she looks back to her sister briefly saying, "She came looking for me wanting to play." Hali was quite surprised that Aeron had made it out this far without any real trouble; and in the snow no doubt. "I think she was glad to of found me even though we didn't get to play." Food and conversation, thats close enough to playing right? "However, its probably about time I took her back though. Mom's probably all worried."
Well, that would be a bit obvious. Storm always proved to be quite the worried mother, specially after what happened with Lark. Seven won't be able to forget that time, looking for a ghost he didn't know, but ok. Past's in the past. The wolf nods slowly, looking past the female's face and glancing at the sister, "I'm sure Storm knows your sister is safe. You're good at that, and well..." He doesn't know for sure, but it's worth a try, "I'm sure your sister left a message behind saying she was going to look for you, no?"
A message, Hali isn't to sure about that. It was hard to find anyone awake when you needed them let alone to leave a message with someone. Course why discourage the fact that her sister might of; Aeron was pretty bright afterall. Nodding a few times she looks up to Seven. "I suppose your right." Hali was good at keeping others safe but she also worried to much about what others thought too. "I just find it odd that she'd do something like that alone. Something could of happened to her." She went over this with her sister that day too, and was deeply greateful she was just lost and not hurt.
Indeed it may cause one to have troubled times. Seven knows that Storm is worried wick about both her sister, Seven never heard Hali telling storm she was leaving the pack at least for some time, so he isn't really sure if Storm knows her daugther is ok, same for Aeron, but why think about it, they're safe, that's what matters. At the female's words, the wolf can't help but chuckle, rubbing her cheek with his nose lightly, "Nothing ever happened to you..." So why should Hali be worried about her sister? It's in their blood it seems, or just family's luck, "I remember certain pup who escaped the den's territory looking for adventures, and nothing wrong ever happened to her. You shouldn't worry about your sister, she's as strong as you."
Seven doesn't know many things it seems.. like if she told her mother where she was going. Its fact that she didn't, but she did tell someone and in hope he told those of concern. Halidari may be childish and forgetful sometimes, but she'd never put worry on others. Listing to the wolf she had shakes. "I believe your wrong Seven. She was swept away by the river and became lost." But then again she wasn't hurt now was she; so why does it matter. "Something did happen to me. I was attacked by a cougar, you remember that." A bad memory brought up.. she quickly changes it. "I worry about my sister because something 'could' happe no matter how strong she is." She'd do the same to any of her siblings. "I want her to know shes not alone and that someone is watching over her. That is why I worry." Hali sure sounds like someone she knows now doesn't she.
The wolf's ears flatten at her words. Ok, so she's right, the cougar attacked her, so what? She's ok, no? "Hey hey..." THe wolf whispers softly, nuzzling her cheek with his own. Ok, so maybe he overtalked and things are not the way he expected now, he knows better to choose his words carefully not to screw up like many times before, "Hey, come on. We all have rough times in life, but you're safe... She IS safe." According to him and the ways of the Wind, dead is just a different path, so he doesn't really worry if something like that were to happen, it hurts... "YOu have a gift, Hali. Others are safe around you, you should be grateful, and you shouldn't worry... Too much." The wolf keeps his gaze fixed on hers, trying to offer a convincing smile, "We can take her back if you want to, or she can stay with us and ... Not be alone. Talk to her."
She 'is' okay, even though she carries the marks of such an event in life, but thats not the point. Being nuzzled by the wolf, Hali turns to the ground, takes a deep breath the looks up. "I am grateful." Whether its because of her that their all safe of not, for some reason she feels like she isn't the one to take sole credit for such things. Afterall she did have her friends and family to push her forward; another thing she is grateful for. Looking to Aeron for a moment she smiles. "I'd like her to stay with us. But I will talk to her."
The wolf knows it's not their choice wether Aeron stays or not. But if he knows something, is that if Aeron followed them, then that means Aeron is safer AND happier with Hali. As the girl faces the ground, the wolf stands up, looking away for a moment and thinking. Aeron is still young, kinda difficult to talk with Storm about letting her go, but you neve know how others will react, specially Storm after all that's happened, "How was the Winter?" The wolf asks softly, deciding to change the subject for the moment. Kinda oblivious if the pup's sleeping.
Halidari turns an ear to the sudden topic change. The Winter? Turning up to him, she blinks. How was any winter, cold and troublesome, though it was better than last years. "Fair, I suppose. Everyone seems to have make it through it alright." Always a good thing right.
