Location: Cluster of Fir Trees
Involved:
Azriel, Male Cougar
Aylin, Female Cougar
He's lounging, almost peacefully, in the late afternoon atop one of the fallen firs of the cluster of trees. His tail twitches back and forth as his neon green eyes laze almost shut; almost. Ears are constently alert, nose and whiskers twitching at the smells upon the wind and Azriel quietly and almost sightlessly watches his surroundings. A few new faint pink scars and scabs have formed across his nose and the underside of his belly. Today they sting a little more then they did when he'd received them, but he'd had worse.
She stayed in the orchard for a short period, watching, almost sadly, the other couargess as she slept. Doing so made her blood start to boil over; she is such a beautiful yougn girl-- she should be using that, not getting beaten up for it. Using that anger, Aylin turned from the orchard and followed the thick, noticable scent of her brother, prowling through the forest, knowing she's getting closer and closer. Soon, her pace slows and she slowly slinks through the snow... There. Just there. The smell is stronger, and her head twists to the side, peering through the trees until the prone form comes into view. Aylin pauses, turning her body in line with her sleeping brother; but she knows better, he's not asleep. Moonseeker's blood is thick here, she can smell that. Surpressing a growl, the female begins to stalk closer.
Something catches the males attention. Ears twitching more uncertainly before his mouth twitches. Azriel grunts, head shifting where it's drapped over his paw. The sound was drawing closer. It wasn't something very noticeable unless you were looking for it. The soft crunch of snow, the delicate step of large paws, almost a whisper. Whiskers fan as his nose twitches and the big cats head lifts suddenly. Head turns, neon eyes widening and then narrowing in the direction of the approaching female. There's a pause before his eyes ajust and a silent hiss contorst his muzzle. Her scent doesn't reach him yet, nor does he recognize her right away. A rather bored expression crosses his face, almost grouchey, as he cranes his head down to eye the other. Humph.
The hiss is met with a deep, gutteral growl, "Get you you lazy bastard," the female retorts, added an extra growl at the end just for kicks. She approaches faster this time, tail lashing and claws cutting into the snow. The cougar's muzzle splits, jaw popping as she sneers in disgust. For a while all she does is glare at the lazy male, but with a cubbish suddeness she pounces on Azriel's hindquarters, gnawing like a kitten on his haunch, snarling... almost playfully.
It takes him a second, and it is still registering, as the female approaches him growling and 'pounces' at his hind quarters. Azriel's response is a full blown snarl. He rips his hindquarters from her playful gnawing and pushes himself from the tree, neon eyes blazing. "Who the hell do you think you ar-" His heated words are interupted with a quick pause as he finally gets a whiff of the others scent and finally looks at her well. Blink. The astonished expression doesn't stay on his features long as a dark scowl replaces it shortly after. "Well, well, well.." he drawls, a sneer if not borderline smile crossing his maw. "Little sister."
Well.. that was to be expected, at least. Aylin doesn't chase after her brother like a cub might, instead she rises to all fours and lifts her head, attempting to stare down her older brother. She echos his snarl with a sneer of her own, easing back on her haunches. "Well, well, indeed big brother. I didn't think I'd smell your hide anytime soon." Scoff. "Are you happy following after father, taking any female you come across and shredding them within and inch of their lives? Do you get off on that, still?" Twitch.
Azriel stands where he is casually, head tilting to one side as he thinks on her words. A dark grin tweeks his muzzle and Azriel nods his head, "Mmm yes.. Yes I do." Mrrr. "Do you still like defying the laws of the species and seducing any male you please to do your bidding?" Azriel drawls slowly, slowly droping down onto his rump and smirking in his siblings direction. What were the odds of seeing her in these parts. He'd figured a male had done away with her smart-mouthing by now.. then again. He knew his sister was stronger then that. Its /his/ sister. XD
She can't help but laugh at Azriel's retort. "Was that supposed to be an insult? Why yes, darling, I do," she purrs vigorously, standing and streching languidly, pacing over to her brother and /unnervingly/ nuzzling him under the chin with her head. She moves off a bit, continuing the nuzzle down her neck and shoulders, twitching her tail to biff the male right on the nose with the heavy, blunt end. "You're just jealous," she teases, romping a pace or two away. "Really, Az', do you have to be such an idiot? That girl was prety. You could've had her if you /thought/ about it for five seconds without using your crotch in the process." She champs down her muzzle, clicking her teeth, before arching a brow. "Figures I follow the scent of two delicious males and find /you/ instead." Pfeh.
Azriel arches what would have been his eyebrow and smirks dryly. "No. Simply making a point." He rolls his eyes at the nuzzle and scowls annoyedly at the twap by her tail. Ugh. He surpresses a growl of annoyance before watching her about. His features are emotionless, blank, almost bored. "Have her? If I really wanted her I would have, she was to pass the time," he drawls dismissively. "And yes. She was pretty, she's still pretty," he admits, "I like my females with a few scars." She wasn't really his type though. He pauses however, eyes darkening, "Males?" Twitch.
Aylin rolls her eyes, their color having faded from that sharpe blue back down to their subtle indigo, cool and collected. "Well," she drawls slightly, eyeing the surrounding trees, "At least you didn't /kill/ this one, I'll give you credit for that." She pauses after that, glancing back and scrutinizing Azriel's face... "Don't tell me your nose stopped working?" Aylin replies, icily, "Haven't you smelled them. They smell deliciously... in tact." At that, the female falls silent and chuckles to herself, resisting the urge to lick her lips. Ahemahem.
Mm Alive. For now. The male scowls. "SOrry, i've had blood in my nose for two days now." He flicks an ear and idly muses with the idea of seeing these.. males. He wondered what their purpose here was, what they were wanting to do. He flicks an ear and eyes his sister once more, eyes rolling. Wimmenz. "Whatever, if they mess with me I'll make sure they aren't ... in tact for much longer." SImply meaning. Leave him alone and he'll leave you alone. For now. He eyes the female before scoffing, "And what have you been up to little sister? Hopefully staying out of trouble."
"Trouble?" Aylin replies, pressing a paw to her chest in mock horror, "Me, Azriel? Really." she issues with a dismissive wave of her tail. The cougar stands then, pacing quietly through the snow, eyes trailing up to the sky as she considers something far beyond male comprehension. She rolls her powerful shoulders in a mild shrug. "I don't know, brother dearest. It's not like you can kick them outof lands they don't own. Besides," she snickers, maw curling and uncurling in a decidedly viscious gesture, "I think even you would have trouble against two brothers much more in their prime than.. ah.. you." Aylin lifts her head haughtily, sqauring her shoulders as she faces the male. Without warning, she scoops a deep pawful of snow and whips it as his face without cracking a smile.
Azriel lifts his head high and scowls. "Merely cubs," Ahh he is getting older. -_-;; Azriel shifts his weight and is about to make a comment before snow is chucked at his face. His eyes squint and ears flatten as he growls lowly and shakes his head, glare. >_> "What do you care about that female anyway? Since when did you have /feelings/ and /compasion/," he scoffs, whiskers flicking off the small peaces of snow on his whiskers.
With a satisfied and smug smirk resting on her muzzle, Aylin shrugs. "Why should I tell you, you great brute?" Snort. Her forepaw shakes away the remaining flecks of snow and she considers his question a moment longer. "Besides, I lke her. She's got potential. Sharpen enough female claws and even you'll submit to something... eventually." Another scoff before she falls silent to groom down some ruffle fur. "But, besides that, Azzie, what've you been up to?" Aylin flicks out her claws and begins to scrutinize them, "Killing innocent things, I assume?"
The male smirks and almost smiles as if she complimented him. He pauses before shaking his head, "I've killed no one." He wasn't lieing. Azriel didn't kill creatures.. he could if he really wanted and sure he's killed in the past. Rival males in his youth, food, for defense. But he didn't kill Moon' and he didn't kill Maulisho, nor any of the other females. The cougar flicks an ear and shrugs none the less, "I've been doing nothing. Roaming. Seeing."
Again, Aylin rolls her eyes. "Of course, brother dearest, of course." Claw inspection done, she puts her back back down in the snow and rises, stretching her back until a satisfying crick echos through the trees. "Just... don't kill those boys until I see what they're about, mm?" Her tail snakes behind her, thinking its own darker thoughts, and the cougar begins to pace slightly. "What's in this forest for you, anyway? Doesn't seem to be much to this place..."
It's his turn to gather a rather sadistic grin upon his features. "You a female.. no. Not far there's a cougar tribe. A tribe with a cheiftan and a matron.. and full of nothing but females." He shivers slightly as he thinks about it and finally starts to laugh. Right out /laugh/. An unusual thing for Azriel to do, ever. "And the Cheiftan of that tribe is believe, is my son." Snortlaugh. He glances at his sister and chuckles darkly, "He doesn't like me much." Go figure.
"So, you actually lasted long enough to produce..." Aylin notes with some surprise, but for the most part it's overlaid with dripped, sickening sarcasm. "Good for you..." This causes her to think for a few moments, however, and she taps a flexed claw against her check, "A tribe of females?" she dismisses derisivly, "How boring." She shrugs then, wondering if it's worth her time to venture in that direction... probably not, but it might be fun to mess with her apparent nephew. Aylin mimics her brother's sick smirk, placing her paw in the snow, "I wonder if he has more or less brains than his daddy?" Dramatic pause... and another pawful of snow flies at him.
Azriel grunts, shaking his head briefly to rid it of the snow, "That is getting old." He chuffs before shrugging, "He's got a temper in him.. and a wit. Saw him once.. unexpectedly." He waves a paw boredly and hmphs softly. "I'm bored. I'm going hunting." With that the male is up on his paw, "I'll be seeing you later little sister. Good luck with your males," he smirks. He passes the female, giving her an absentminded bump in the shoulder with his head. "Until later, kid."
And so she'll continue to fling snow until there's none left, /just/ because he said that. Aylin shoots Azriel's back a pure unsincere smile, turning herself and moving off in the direction she followed to get there. Maybe she will haunt poor Kein's nightmares for a little while; well, maybe after she finds those two males. Rwar. She gives her brother a flick of her tail, smoothing down her whiskers with a quick swipe of her tongue. "I'm sure, old man. I'm sure."
The male hesitates and smirks faintly. One day, a male was going to teach that girl a lesson. If that happened, they'd better hope Azriel didn't find them or he'd scatter their body parts to the corners of the world. Old. Old?! Hmph. He glances over his shoulder and scowls. What a pain in the ass... but hell. It's her sister. He could retort with something but saves it for later, a smirk curling his maw. Wimmenz.
