OOC: What happened to all the RP logs, eh? RP more! Post more! I've kept some OOC interjections in this log, because frankly they're funny! So, enjoy!
What a lovely, beautiful, gorgeous, night! Look, it's not even snowing! The skies are clear, allowing the silver glow of a thumbnail moon to reflect off of the many inches of snow that's already settled on the ground. Miakoda is captivated. Captivated .. and hidden. Half-submerged within the dense foliage that surrounds the den site, the Beta female peers up at the bit of sky that can be seen from between the brush above her, ears perked forward and mouth closed.
Bodhi on the other paw can be seen wandering around the lair with no real aim, his movements tho a lot lighter then his normal ones, head twisting to study the pawsteps in the snow critically every few steps before the speed or rhythm of his steps changes slightly and onward he wanders.
It is beautiful, and it's nice for once not to be hunkered down because the wind feels like whipping the snow in one's face. Felstride has been attempting to relax for sometime, and he's managed to settle himself in the snow. With his back deep in the white fluff and his paws tucked up against his chest, the Alpha is also peering at the skies, his amber eyes reflecting the brightness of the stars. His tail flicks gently, giving a soft swishing noise, and for a moment his attention flits to the cloud of his breath before it dissipates. Felstride doesn't say anything, there's not much to say or anyone to say it too, but he can't see Miakoda; he's not really looking. The Alpha churrs deeply in his chest, enjoying the quiet. Movement.. he doesn't notice. His mind is somewhere else.
The other alpha seems to be dozed in her normal spot, she spent the night out on patrol so she's a wee bit tired to say the least. Storm is rather content in sleeping until a good pile of snow falls from a branch higher up and flops right down on her head. With a start the alpha lifts her head an she blinks while looking around rather confused it seems from the rude wake up call.
Ooh look. It's a /Felstride/. As Miakoda's gaze lowers from the heavens above, they soon alight upon the distant Alpha male and her ears lay easily against her skulll as her head lowers. Behind her, her tail gives a slight twitch before she raises onto quiet paws and begins to traverse toward him, paws leaving imprints in the snow behind her. Gradually does the light cast from above find her form and she becomes more visible as she withdraws from her coverage. An ear turns Bodhi's way, and the other wolf is given a soft smile and a gentle dip of her head before her eyes return to Felstride and a half-smirk plays across her muzzle. She doesn't hesitate to approach the lounging male. "Hey Alpha," she greets gently, pausing when near and lowering her head to touch and graze her muzzle along his fore paw and just vaguely (oh so vaguely!) against his chest. And Storm? She knew she was sleeping, yet has yet to realize that she was so abruptly awakened.

Bodhi glances over at Miakoda and offers a return dip as he smiles warmly, he does not stop his 'study' tho on what seems to be the most effective way currently to wander the snow without making a sound or deep impression.
From Miakoda, he should've expected to be thoroughly pounced on and attacked from the shadows, but her unusually gentle and subtle approach causes him to perk his ears. Felstride's attention falls from the stars to one side, issuing a gentle smile as the Beta comes closer and actually initiates contact, however brief. "Good evening, Miakoda," he returns, shaking a dismissive paw at her use of that silly title. Bah. He slight gesture of tentative affection doesn't escape him, but rather surprises him even more considering their last talk about such things. Felstride eventually rolls to his side, shaking the powdery snow from his neck scruff before realizing Bodhi's appearance and giving him a nod, "And to you, Bodhi." Pushing to all fours and again shaking off the snow, the large wolf glances around the den site before his Alphess comes into view, startled and covered in snow. A gentle smile comes to his lips, and as he turns to greet her, he brushes by the Beta female with the barest hint of his fur (Ooooooh). "Good evening, my Lady," he churrs softly as he approach Storm, lowering his head to brush away the offending alarm clock.
Storm slowly licks across her maw while still trying to figure out what just happened, perhaps lucky for Mia that she was hit on the head by said snow an didn't see what was going on or she might be asking a few questions now. Seems the alpha has no clue still. She snuffles and glances to Felstride smiling at him. "Hello Felstride." A faint chuckle escapes her while she gives Fel a nuzzle back against his chest and gladly takes the help getting the snow off before shifting up onto her haunches an gives herself a shake to send the rest of the snow flying.

But even that look is brief, and the Beta takes a step backward while watching the two, eyes giving the briefest of narrows before she turns her attention to Bodhi, abruptly cheerful. "He's rather lucky she woke up," she says with a crooked smirk. "I /was/ going to smoosh snow in his face just like you taught me. But! As fate would have it..."

Bodhi muses as he watches the changes that move over Mia then cocks his head and grins at her once she focuses on him "you learn quickly Mia, i guess I'm lucky you haven't decided to try that on me yet" a wry chuckle escaping his lips as he starts to pad over toward her in his currently weird way that makes unusually little sound in the snow.
It doesn't matter that he can't see her face, but as he steps back to let Storm shake the rest of the snow from her head, an ear tilted back catches her words but more importantly, their tone. She's faking it again. The ghost of concern flashes behind his eyes, but a quick blink rids him of that. Felstride issues a quiet hum, a contented noise, and nuzzles the wolfess underneath her chin. He stays like that for a moment, cementing something in his mind, before Miakoda's rather forced cheer and jab reaches him. The wolf perks a brow, turning his ears to hear Bodhi's reply, before managing to grin; but maybe it's forced, too? "Oh, and what makes you think that I will not surprise you, first?" Yeah.. surprise. Mm-hmm. Right.
Storm murrs softly and tilts her head while leaning back against Felstride some with her shoulder while letting her head tilt to press against his softly. Taw.. If she had any idea what was going on she would be rather heart broken to say the least, along with feeling betrayed by the two wolves she cares about the most. She would be open to work something out but that would make to much sense to say the least. A ear perks an she chuckles softly. "If there's talk like this I suppose I should expect more cold wake up calls then hum?"

He also wants to.. mm, find a way to make Mia' happy, but despite his kind intentions it can easily be taken the wrong way. Gotcha?"

"Don't think you're safe just yet, Bodhi," she replies with a soft swish of her tail against the snow, though it isn't nearly enough to send an ounce of snow his way. But a sweep of her paw is, and she smirks as she attempts to swipe snow in the dark wolf's direction, back-peddling a few steps afterward. A look is given to Felstride at his quip, and a faint chuckle follows. "I don't think you have it in you, Felstride," is her reply, a brow just faintly inching upward before her attention swivels to Storm. "Evenin' Storm."
For a minute or two, Felstride wonders just what the Beta is challenging him about but eventually he manages to shake his head, telling himself that it better not be that. When he opens his eyes, they land directly on Miakoda's, and for a moment the ghost of their conversation floods back to him. He doesn't let on though, at least his feels that way, and as he lowers his haunches to the snow his comfort floods back in Storm. He lifts a paw and places it on hers, wruffling softly, "Oh.. I think that snow woke you up accidentally, falling from the trees." Smiling, the male rests his chin a top the Alpha female's neck, closing his eyes and letting his ears fall back against his skull. True and noble. Sure. Maybe he needs to talk to Miakoda again. Maybe she didn't talk to Storm like she said she would. *eyeballs*
Bodhi shakes his head as he does get hit halfway, most hitting his side tho as he tries to evade "No fair to snowball the distracted" snickergrins slightly before looking over at storm and Felstride and dipping his head to both "Greetings Storm, Felstride" quickly padding closer to Mia before he makes a sudden stop and tries to get some extra power into the snowswipe toward her from his movement.
Talk with Miakoda?.. Nope Storm attempted to more then once and was told a few things but not a real talk. Storm chuckles softly. "Evening Mia, Bodhi." She looks to Felstride an smiles, her head lifting to give his cheek a few soft licks. Ain't that cute! "Oh I'm sure the trees had something to do with it, though knowing Mia she asked the squirrels to help in that area." The alpha offers with a grin while settling next to Felstride and snuggling back against him some.
The Beta's eyes are quick to divert themselves to anything other than the sickeningly sweet couple of Alphas, and luckily for her, Bodhi proves to be an awesome distraction. *floomph!* His extra-oomphed snowswipe meets its target squarely, and Miakoda squints as she's bombarded with snow. "Hey!" she says in protest, ducking her head belatedly. Grr! "You know .. this means war," she says with a soft and playful growl. There's no more snowswipes from her (or squirrelly help from above, either!) and instead, she turns to squarely face the dark wolf and ... pounces.

Oh well, there goes her dominance on the situation! And as for Felstride and Storm? At least one of the two are disregarded, and happily so as focusing on a bad thing such as that and a carefree thing such as play could be conflicting to any wolf! So as they make plans to depart and BE NASTY WITH ONE ANOTHER, she focuses on other things.

Turning, he noses Storm softly, "Let us leave them to enjoy themselves," he whispers, giving one last glance across his shoulders to the two wolves, brows knitted. He doesn't see the point in interrupting and so deigns it proper to meander quietly away. Keeping close to the wolfess' side, the Alpha male steps his way silently and softly through the snow, for a WALK, yes WALK, through the woods. (As he sturts in a skirt).

Seems the alpha has no clue still. She snuffles and glances to Felstride smiling at him. "Hello Felstride." A faint chuckle escapes her while she gives Fel a nuzzle back against his chest and gladly takes the help getting the snow off before shifting up onto her haunches an gives herself a shake to send the rest of the snow flying.
Miakoda smirks faintly, though it's a look that hesitates as her ears lift and her attention is given to Storm. Her head lifts now and she watches the Alpha while a single ear turns to the side. Her gaze returns to Felstride now, and her eyes slightly squint shut as he shakes off and sends bits of snow flying. But then he leaves, and her expression momentarily and subtlety flattens, though that look momentarily dissipates at that ghost of a touch. But even that look is brief, and the Beta takes a step backward while watching the two, eyes giving the briefest of narrows before she turns her attention to Bodhi, abruptly cheerful. "He's rather lucky she woke up," she says with a crooked smirk. "I /was/ going to smoosh snow in his face just like you taught me. But! As fate would have it..."
[OOC] Felstride hurt her feelings! -.-

Bodhi muses as he watches the changes that move over Mia then cocks his head and grins at her once she focuses on him "you learn quickly Mia, i guess I'm lucky you haven't decided to try that on me yet" a wry chuckle escaping his lips as he starts to pad over toward her in his currently weird way that makes unusually little sound in the snow.
It doesn't matter that he can't see her face, but as he steps back to let Storm shake the rest of the snow from her head, an ear tilted back catches her words but more importantly, their tone. She's faking it again. The ghost of concern flashes behind his eyes, but a quick blink rids him of that. Felstride issues a quiet hum, a contented noise, and nuzzles the wolfess underneath her chin. He stays like that for a moment, cementing something in his mind, before Miakoda's rather forced cheer and jab reaches him. The wolf perks a brow, turning his ears to hear Bodhi's reply, before managing to grin; but maybe it's forced, too? "Oh, and what makes you think that I will not surprise you, first?" Yeah.. surprise. Mm-hmm. Right.
Storm murrs softly and tilts her head while leaning back against Felstride some with her shoulder while letting her head tilt to press against his softly. Taw.. If she had any idea what was going on she would be rather heart broken to say the least, along with feeling betrayed by the two wolves she cares about the most. She would be open to work something out but that would make to much sense to say the least. A ear perks an she chuckles softly. "If there's talk like this I suppose I should expect more cold wake up calls then hum?"

But, he's also betraying her trust by not telling her about Mia', but if he did he'd break her promise. "Miakoda half-smirks to Bodhi and elegantly angles her muzzle upwards. "Don't think you're safe just yet, Bodhi," she replies with a soft swish of her tail against the snow, though it isn't nearly enough to send an ounce of snow his way. But a sweep of her paw is, and she smirks as she attempts to swipe snow in the dark wolf's direction, back-peddling a few steps afterward. A look is given to Felstride at his quip, and a faint chuckle follows. "I don't think you have it in you, Felstride," is her reply, a brow just faintly inching upward before her attention swivels to Storm. "Evenin' Storm."
For a minute or two, Felstride wonders just what the Beta is challenging him about but eventually he manages to shake his head, telling himself that it better not be that. When he opens his eyes, they land directly on Miakoda's, and for a moment the ghost of their conversation floods back to him. He doesn't let on though, at least his feels that way, and as he lowers his haunches to the snow his comfort floods back in Storm. He lifts a paw and places it on hers, wruffling softly, "Oh.. I think that snow woke you up accidentally, falling from the trees." Smiling, the male rests his chin a top the Alpha female's neck, closing his eyes and letting his ears fall back against his skull. True and noble. Sure. Maybe he needs to talk to Miakoda again. Maybe she didn't talk to Storm like she said she would. *eyeballs*
Bodhi shakes his head as he does get hit halfway, most hitting his side tho as he tries to evade "No fair to snowball the distracted" snickergrins slightly before looking over at storm and Felstride and dipping his head to both "Greetings Storm, Felstride" quickly padding closer to Mia before he makes a sudden stop and tries to get some extra power into the snowswipe toward her from his movement.
Talk with Miakoda?.. Nope Storm attempted to more then once and was told a few things but not a real talk. Storm chuckles softly. "Evening Mia, Bodhi." She looks to Felstride an smiles, her head lifting to give his cheek a few soft licks. Ain't that cute! "Oh I'm sure the trees had something to do with it, though knowing Mia she asked the squirrels to help in that area." The alpha offers with a grin while settling next to Felstride and snuggling back against him some.
The Beta's eyes are quick to divert themselves to anything other than the sickeningly sweet couple of Alphas, and luckily for her, Bodhi proves to be an awesome distraction. *floomph!* His extra-oomphed snowswipe meets its target squarely, and Miakoda squints as she's bombarded with snow. "Hey!" she says in protest, ducking her head belatedly. Grr! "You know .. this means war," she says with a soft and playful growl. There's no more snowswipes from her (or squirrelly help from above, either!) and instead, she turns to squarely face the dark wolf and ... pounces.

"Bodhi yelps and blinks slightly as he suddenly gets bowled over into the snow, having been totally unprepared for any pounces "So thats the way you want it" quickly trying to twist around slightly and grab after Mia with his paws "lets see who does best this time" his lips twisting into a wide grin as he gives a happy and carefree laugh.
Miakoda. Yeah, her. The mention of the Beta's name causes Felstride to shift his ears forward, and as he lowers his head to meet Storm's gaze he actually manages a little chuckle. "Perhaps," he churrs, nosing behind her ear. Soon though, he thoughts wander again and to alleviate his mind he turns his attention to the skies once again, a smile gently curling his muzzle as he watches the twinkling heavens. It is a surprisingly beautiful night despite the secret going-ons in two wolfy-heads, but such things really shouldn't be dropped like a bombshell. He'll confront her again later, when she's not playing flirty snow games. Hmm, what's that? Jealousy? Better not be. Instead, Felstride's mind wanders to a notion that he brought up once before with his Alphess, and laughs quietly as he remembers it. He asked about pups once. Maybe they should go do that, yes? *cough*
Storm chuckles softly while glancing over the two as they play in the snow, a ear twitching before she glances back to Felstride watching him curiously. She wonders what his thinking about, she'll have to ask him some time. Her maw twitches an she peers at him curiously before giving Fel's cheek a faint nibble or two. "What to go for a walk?" She questions while a slight grin rests on her maw, ah perhaps other things can happen on said walk. Her tail slowly sways behind her playfully bapping into Fel's each time it moves.
Miakoda snickers triumphantly as Bodhi goes down. She is so hoss. Wonderful and all that. Heh. She grins out of necessity and folds her ears back as she softly growls at the male. /So not flirting/ with him, but playing thank you very much! Mwuah! "There aren't many who know the way I want it, Bodhi," she says in spicy reply before oomphing (again) and trying to pull away from his counter attack. Oh well, there goes her dominance on the situation! And as for Felstride and Storm? At least one of the two are disregarded, and happily so as focusing on a bad thing such as that and a carefree thing such as play could be conflicting to any wolf! So as they make plans to depart and BE NASTY WITH ONE ANOTHER, she focuses on other things.

Bodhi continues to chuckle as he works on getting the upper paw in this 'fight' "I guess I'll have to figure it out then" head quickly leaning up to try giving Mia's throat a nuzzle as a distraction of all things before he tries to flip their positions around.
"Of course," comes Felstride's reply, taking him all the effort he can muster for it not to come out too hastily. The Alpha stands, returning Storm's tail flicks with a few of his own, actually enjoying the little game between them like young pups might. His bright eyes travel to the prancing duo nearby, lingering for a while with a hint of sadness behind them before a quick shake of his head clears him of it. Yes, he will need to take her aside soon; they have important things to discuss. Turning, he noses Storm softly, "Let us leave them to enjoy themselves," he whispers, giving one last glance across his shoulders to the two wolves, brows knitted. He doesn't see the point in interrupting and so deigns it proper to meander quietly away. Keeping close to the wolfess' side, the Alpha male steps his way silently and softly through the snow, for a WALK, yes WALK, through the woods. (As he sturts in a skirt).

Storm smiles as she hears that Felstride wants to go, her gaze drifts towards the pair unsure about saying anything it seems. Her tail baps against Fel's haunch a bit as she stands up once more. She nods at the whisper and looks back to Felstride, a soft murr escapes her an she gives his maw a faint lick while moving forward and faintly rubbing up against his side. "They look like there having fun anyway.." She keeps next to him seeming rather happy at the sudden turn of events.. If only she knew what was going on around her she might not be to thrilled about going off for said 'walk' (coughcoughrompcoughcough) with Fel.
