Chandani is running off trying wanting to speak to her sister, "Nayeli?" She calls out to her hoping to get a response.
"Chandani!" Nayeli is more than happy to see her sister. "We need to talk, before Daddy finds us!" The girl jumps to her feet and sprints over toward her sister, coming up to a halt only a few feet away. "Do you know where he is? Or if he's coming this way?" They need absolute privacy!
Chandani shakes her head, "I do not know where he is. The last time. I saw daddy was when you ran off. I followed you wanting to speak with you too." She admits.
Nayeli feels bad now; she hadn't known Chandani was following her. "I... I'm not sure what to say... can you tell me what happened?" She swallows hard. "Where's Kein, and why did they have to go away?" There's the threat of a tear. "I.. I miss Kein!" Sniffle. "So... so much..."
Chandani lets out a soft sigh, "I am sorry you found out the way you did with that conversation with me and daddy. I was hoping to talk to you about it in private. All I know was that daddy was upset a while ago and he told me that he's a bad cougar. He said the reason for that was he tried to claim Maulisho as his mate... and from what I got Kein's mother did not like what daddy did. That is what started it I did not understand it myself. I thought it sounded bad. After that happened daddy also said that he would not be surprised if Maulisho took the cubs and left Amaranth if I'm not mistaken it all happened so fast. I then ran off to see Kein. I would have told you, I was going to see him. But I could not find you at the time, and told him what was going on. At one point Kein thought I was being mean and made it up. Until Maulisho showed up, I did not want to come back home. I asked, if I could go with them? Maulisho told me I could not. I did not get a chance to tell them bye. I'm not sure where they were going, before Kein left he did tell me that he will come back for us when he finds out where they're going. I have been angry and upset ever since. I also miss him and Pelutho."
Nayeli looks stricken as she listens, especially when finding out that Chandani was able to see Kein one last time... but she wasn't. At least her sister /did/ try to get her to come as well. Nayeli sighs, flopping down. "I wonder if we'll ever see them again." Especially Kein.
Chandani looks down at the groundn and sighs, "I have no idea." She says and sniffles, "I miss them a lot too. I am sure Kein will try to come back to get us like he said he will." Then turns to face her sister. "I do not know Pelutho that well. I especially miss him. I do hope it is soon though."
Will they ever see them again? Ever? "Why... how... could Daddy do something so bad that they had to leave and won't come back?" Nayeli can't even imagine what kind of evil took place.
Chandani looks back down at the ground, "I have no idea. When I saw Kein and told him what happened. He did not seem to understand it any more than we do. Daddy seemed upset when he first told me what happened. I do not know what to think or believe any more than we do. Maulisho did show up while I was there and she was in a rush to get away from there. I also felt bad that you were not around to go with me at the time. I did not want to come back home either. I do not know about them coming back or not to be honest."
Nayeli isn't really sure what she feels, other than grieved that Kein's gone. The full impact of knowing that her dad performed an evil deed leading to Kein's departure hasn't fully hit home yet, but Nayeli knows that she'll need to figure something out. Should she stay, or run away too? After all... Chesmu /is/ her father, and can she really just leave like that? She doesn't even really know how to hunt!
Chandani lays down on the ground and sniffles again, "It seemed like. I did hear Maulisho tell one of her cubs they are coming back. I do not know if it was true or not though. Are you alright Nayeli?" She asks knowing that if she's feeling the same things she is then the answer is no. "I was dreading telling you this. Because I knew it would be hard on you."
Of course it's hard on her! But... Nayeli had to know. It was unbearable knowing that Kein was gone, and not knowing the reason why. "It's... I just need some time to accept it." She sniffles. "Thanks for telling me, though."
Nayeli walks over the last few steps and gives her sister a comforting nuzzle, tears now freely streaming down her cheeks. "I feel so lost, Chandani... I don't know what to do. I'm.. scared." Should they run away? The idea is both tantalizing and terrifying at the same time.
Chandani returns the nuzzle, "I know what you mean. I am too." She also feels like crying but she's all cried out from so much as it is. The juvenile sighs, "I do not even know what to do."
"Should... should we run away too? Try and find Kein? And.. Pelutho?" Nayeli can't even imagine trying to track them, but... what if they have no choice? /Something/ has to be done -- what if it's not safe to live here anymore with an evil father? Nayeli feels so helpless and wishes even more that Kein was still around. /He/ would know what to do.
Chandani fixes her attention on Nayeli, "Hmmm, good question. I have no idea if we should run away or not." She admits also wishing Kein was around. "I can not wait to see him and Pelutho again either for that matter. If you want to go try and find them. I am going with you."
The more and more she thinks about it, the more she likes the idea. But... it opens up several other questions. "Should we... talk to Mommy? Or... what about Yuma? And Misae?" Yuma's awfully close to Chesmu, which might make it difficult. However, should they try to rescue him from Daddy? How will they get food? What would Mommy think if they just ran off? Is /she/ evil? Should she be warned about Chesmu's evil deed as well? What if she ran off like Kein's mother did?
Chandani keeps her attention fixed on Nayeli before getting back up to stretch out, "I am not sure about Mommy or how she'll take it. I have thought about Yuma he might not believe us and might even tell Daddy I have thought about that one. Misae I do not know either." She adds, "What do you think? Should we tell them?"
"I... just don't know." Nayeli frowns and as her sister gets up, she lies down, resting her head on her forepaws. "I feel like it's going to be a terrible decision, either way." She sighs, feeling tears form again. "What if we leave to find Kein and Pelutho, but then never get to see /our/ family again? Or what if we try to get Yuma and Misae to join us, and they tell Daddy? What if... what if Daddy does something terrible to /us/?
"I do not know either. It is hard one way or another." Then as Chandani thought there were no tears left her eyes do water. "I will miss our family. But I do not want to be hurt by Daddy either."
It's a lose-lose situation, in a sense, but Nayeli can't make up her mind. She simply does not have the leadership and initiative that Kein demonstrated to her on more than occasion. She /does/ remember what Kein's mother told her about Kein, and about the role that Nayeli was supposed to play. Is that even still possible? Or is that opportunity gone forever, now? "Where do you think they've gone to? How would we find them, even if we /did/ set out after them?"
Chandani shrugs a little, "I have no idea." She says in a soft voice. "I do know that Kein said he will come back to get us when he finds out where they're going. But I do not think, I can wait that long. I want to be with them now."
There's finally a smile on the girl's muzzle. "Kein... Kein said that he was... coming /back/ here!" She jumps up, looking delighted. "When? How? Where's he coming from?" She can't wait! Maybe... ohhh! Maybe they can go /back/ with him!
Chandani turns to face Nayeli, "He said that before they left it was the last thing he said to me. He said when they find out where they're going. But I do not know when or where though. I do want to go and look for them though, I can not wait to see them again."
Feeling a surge of motivation, Nayeli takes a deep breath... then asks: "Chandani, if... I..." Can she really say this? Would she really /do/ it? "Would you come with me... if I went back with Kein?" It's a terrifying idea, but... Nayeli is desperate.
Chandani nods a little, "Y-yes I would come with you. Besides I would like to get to know Pelutho better. I do not know him well... and I do not know why, but I miss him and like him a lot."
"Chandani, that ideas scare me, but I don't think we have any other choice!" What if Kein refuses? Nayeli /does/ recall that the last time they were together, he had insulted her deeply; the thought that he might not /want/ her to come back with him is also a scary and disturbing thought.
Chandani keeps her eyes fixed on the other female as she hears listens to what she's told, "I know the idea scares me too Nayeli. Do you want to stay here and wait for Kein or did you want to go and try to find him? What ever you decide. I will be with you regardless."
Since when did she become the de facto leader of this plan? Nayeli is scared to death at the prospect of leading herself and her sister on this, but realizes that /somebody/ has to. Apparently Chandani doesn't like the idea either, or at least is too frightened to volunteer. "We.. we probably should wait." That'll at least give her more time to figure out what to do. But.. wait for how long? If Daddy is that evil... waiting might become a very dangerous thing to do. "I just wish we knew how long Kein is going to take..."
Chandani it is not that she is frightened to be a leader... she's just nervouse herself and is scared off the situation and does not know what to do. "Alright, that sounds like a good idea." But she does not want to wait around.
It's decided, then. Nayeli gives her a sister her best attempt at a smile, as well as a nod. "We'll just have to keep a close eye out for them." That... and stay away from Daddy as much as possible.
Chandani does her best to return the smile, "Yes we do." She admits, "Kein did say he will find us." Before flopping down to rest a little.
