WARNING: This is a rather violent scene of two foxes getting beaten up by a dog as well as some bad language.
Halona is seen in the area she does not seem to be paying too much of the time wanting to be alone for a while. But she knows that chances are it will not last long expecting her brother or some one else to be around.
Jamie is roaming the area not really doing much as she sniffs the ground she spots a fox not too far off and slinks down ready to see what the female is doing she wonders if she can catch the vixen
Braxton is actually sleeping in his den, quietly, imagining being surrounded by kits, his grandchildren, telling them stories. He loves his family that much.
Halona does not seem to notice the dog but she has a feeling and thinks she picks up on a scent that she does not recognize. "Hello?" She calls out not really expecting an answer. She then sits down on the ground to rest a little.
Braxton rolls over in his sleep. He heard Halona say hello, but this was incorporated into his dream. She's lost amongst the sea of grandkits, looking for him.
Jamie smiles as she gets behind the vixen and wonders why she called out? Did the vixen detect her? if so why she still laying there? she pushes the mystery out of her mind and makes a lunge to pin halona she wonders how surprised the vixen will be to see her.
Halona was caught off guard and does indeed get pinned by Jamie causing the vixen to let out a scared and surprised noise. "What is going on?"
Braxton shakes awake when Halona yells out and yawns. The fox walks out of his den and looks around for the source of the noise. "What's going on?"
Jamie looks down at halona and says "not a very bright vixen I caught. I mean its pretty obvios you have been caught by a dog and now would be the time to beg for your life not ask whats going on as its obvious you have become prey" she grinsdown at the unlucky vixen just trying to scare her for a little entertainment.
Halona blinks her eyees a little, "I know what happened." She says trying to push the dog away. "I know what you are. From back when I was living with humans. You just caught me off guard and what are you doing here at my home lands?" She asks the dog. In a angry tone of voice. "What do you mean I have become prey?" She asks seeming a little scared.
Braxton spots the dog on top of Terri. And he growls and walks toward the dog. "What are you doing, dog?" Braxton says. "Get off of her!"
Jamie grins atbraxton and says "what you want fox oh do I got your mate? oh she a rather stupid beast dont see why you want her back." looking down at the fox she says "you know about the masters that must mean you escape from them you know what dogs do to foxes who have escaped there masters right we tear them apart. piece by piece" the vixens struggling to push the dog are relatively ignored mostly cause it does not matter to her since she is much stronger
Halona blinks her eyes a little, "Please do not hurt me. I-I was raised." She swallows hard making a gulping noise. "By humans. I-I did not escape. I-I l-l-like humans."
"And perhaps you don't know what foxes like myself do to man-traitor dogs like you! Get off my sister, or I will remove you in the most painful way possible, man-traitor!" Braxton growls ready for a fight. He is assuming this dog is a man-traitor based off of what he said just then. "Your kind are not welcome here, leave the human filth and evil in their cursed world!"
Jamie grins and says "too bad I dont. they betrayed me and left me in this hellish place I had to learn how to survive. though I suppose they had there reasons I dont think it matters to me" licking the back of the vixens neck she says "your quite tasty you know" looking over to braxton unimpressed as she says "oh I am a man traitor your sister is a man traitor yet you defend her and threaten me although I dont think your threats are very valid since I am bigger and doubt the effort of you both would save either of you" the dog remains calm as if she is just toying with the 2 of them. she is not at all hungry just bored and she doubts a fox would make a fool hardy moov
Halona blinks her eyes she is scared when the dog licks the back of her neck. "Please let me go." She pleads trying to push Jamie away from her. "I will listen to my brother if I was you." She says struggling trying to get away from the dog.
Braxton is no man-traitor himself. He is not soft, and he would do anything for his family. He doesn't appear intimidated. "They made you soft. Weak. Stupid. Stand down, or I will make you stand down, man-traitor!" Braxton growls. He doesn't care if the dog attacks him or critically injures him, so long as his sister comes out unharmed.
Jamie smiles and says "you assume alot fox I am not soft I survived 2 winters outside of there care in the most hellish of ways. I had to fight and kill and do things to toughing me up a bit so dont irritate me too much or I will snap your sisters neck" she lowers her muzzles and says "stop struggling or I will hurt you" she opens her maw lowering it over the vixens neck not biting down but placing it there as if ready to go through with her threat if she needs to
Halona stops struggling for a moment in fear not knowing what else to do hoping that the dog does not go through with it. She would rather be the one who gets hurt instead of her brother Braxton but she does not want to risk anything yet.
Braxton loses his composure and charges right at the man-traitor dog. Nobody, but *nobody* hrts Braxton's family and gets away with it, not Sanguine, and not this man-traitor! Seeing red, the fox leaps at the dog and sinks his claws and teeth into whatever he can get.
Jamie responds to braxton charge in an instant she clamps down on the vixen and chucks her in the way of braxton charge jumping back she hopes that stoped the fox for a moment at least as she also waits to see if the vixens still alive . she did not really wanna hurt her or braxton she was only toying with the 2 perhaps she went too far?
Halona yips out in pain as the dog clamps down on her and is chucks her the way of Braxton. She is still alive and the fear in her eyes shows.
Braxton can't stop in time to keep from bowling into his sister and falls over her, flipped onto his back. This, however, only serves to enrage the male even further and he gets to his feet as fast as he can. Yes, this dog went to far. He starts running toward her again, teeth bared, ready for a scrap.
Jamie only needed the moment he was on his back to get to her feet she dash towards him as she waits for him to make the first move. waiting for him to leap at her knowing in his rage he is likely on a blind charge
Halona slowly starts to get up feeling a little dizzy she is baring her own teeth wanting to try to hurt Jamie herself.
Braxton leaps at Jamie again, very angry, and unaware that she was waiting for him to leap up and bite.
Jamie smiles as she doesw as a wolf once taught her. one who took pitty on her she waits for the perfect moment leapin to the side and snapping at braxtons necks she twist and tries to use his own momentom to senhd his head straight into the ground releasing him. she doesw not wait to see if it knocked braxton out or not just charges straight at him trying to get to him before he can recover
Halona blinks her eyees watching what Jamie just did she then goes and rushes after the dog her teeth bared she leaps and tries to sink her teeth into Jamie's neck. It might not be a good move but hopefully the dog is too distracted with Braxton Jamie will not even notice her.
Braxton's yelp is cut off by the twisting of his neck, but he definitely shouts out in pain as he is slammed against the ground. Though not knocked out, the fox is dazed and has a little more difficulty in standing up properly.
Jamie had not forgoten about halona she did not figure the female would be brave enough to attack her. so when she catches her out of the corner of her eye on her trail she again waits for her toact stoping suddenly to avoid the bite and catch halona mid leap so she can pin her by the neck as the vixen lands. she wonders why these 2 seem so strange from other foxes who are much more self obsorbed
Halona yelps out as misses Jamie and is pinned down by the neck. She then tries to use all her strength trying to push Jamie off of her.
Braxton is far from selfish. He is a firm believer of heart above everything. That being said, this damn man-traitor is hurting his family... Unfortunately the tod is still rather stunned. Shaking his head Braxton advances on the dog to attack her again, this time with less running, as soon as he reaches her, he plans to bite into her sensitive (He hopes.) flanks.
Jamie decides to leaves these foxes with a bit of a lesson she swings halona to knock back braxton releasing the vixens neck but then grabing on her leg and trashing her head to try and injure her leg enough where she wont be able to help her brother
Halona yilps out when Jamie swings her around getting released and tries to get up... but she was not fast enough when the dog grabs her leg and injures it she lets out another loud yilp of pain. She does not even try to move.
"You... bitch...." Braxton says after gets knocked away by his sister, then sees what she does to his sister. "You..." Braxton can't lose this fight! There's no telling what this dog might do to his sister if she prevails. The tod, gets up and shakes himself off, and, enraged, charges again after her. He runs and leaps for the dog with the intention... *again*... of just latching on and doing what damage he can.
Jamie releases the vixen when she see braxton coming in for another charge and she mov es to catch himj once again by the neck this time by his scruff so she can run away wiuth him in her maw and turn this fight into a one on one beat the crap out of the anoyying fox
Halona blinks her eyes a little as she slowly tries to get up to help her brother. She winces at the pain and tries her best to stifle a painful yilp. "Leave him alone!" She says in a warning tone of voice.
Braxton growls as he is grabbed by the scruff like a kit! How insulting! He flails, but can't seem to do much of anything about it. Nothing. But at least Halona will be okay.
Jamie sets him down a good distance away from halona then she thrashes at his legs trying to flip him to get to his soft under belly to give him some painfull bites there thrashing any soft tissue she sinks her teeth in she wants him to feel pain before she leaves him to strike at his sister
Halona is trying to make her way over towards her brother wanting to help him. But the pain in her leg makes it hard for her to move much. She flops down and remains where she is.
Braxton oofs when he's flipped over unceremoniously on his back. And then he yelps and howls in pain as the female starts biting relentlessly, howling in pain as significant portions of blood are drawn. It hurts so much.
Jamie jumps back and sees if braxton gets up or not. she wants to know if he can fight still she says "go on lay down and know while you lay there I am going to kill your sister and make yopu watch then leave you to die on your own"
Halona blinks her eyes a little when she hears Jamie's words knowing that she can not do much but remain where she is. The thought that the female dog is going to kill the vixen does not help much and her thoughts go to ways of trying to figure out how to get out of this situation.
Braxton prays that Halona will have the sense to just hide in his den. The dog may be big, but his den is deep. He shouts out as lous as he can. "Halona, get in my den! Now!" Braxton directs and angry eye at the dog. He feels week. He might need medical attention. But he's not going to risk *anyone* while this man-traitor is here. "Go ahead, kill me, you man-traitor! It'll be the only blood you get from us!"
Jamie darts straight for braxtons sister. she knows if she can sink her teeth in the vixen there will be no escape for either of them she darts at halona saying "if you run your brother will pay the price for it"
Halona blinks her eyes when she hears Braxton's words she does not want her brother to get hurt any more than he already is. She does notice Jamie as the dog darts straight towards her. She tries to find the strength to head towards Braxton's den knowing she is not in any condition to fight either.
Braxton can barely see that Halona isdoing her best to get away. He prays she makes it into the den in time. He shudders and groans when he realizes just how much damage the dog did to him, his fur is caked with his blood. If he survives this, it might take him time to heal. "Come on, you coward! Can't even finish off the fox you're trying to kill? You have to go after her? FINISH ME!"
Jamie manages to get to halona before she gets to the den biting at her scruff she tries to pick her up like she did braxton minuts ago she tries to carry her back to braxton
Halona is trying to get to the den when she blinks her eyes feeling the dog bite her at the scruff and gets picked up to be carried off. WHich causes her whole body to tense up.
"No!" Yells the tod, and Braxton clenches his teeth angrily. If he wasn't in such horrible shape he'd... get up and let the dog beat the snot out of him some more... something! Now the man-traitor has his sister! "Let her go! You can kill me! Just let her go, I'm the one you want!" He's desperate. What can he do?
Jamie smiles as she carries the vixen over to braxton setting his sister down a few feet from him as she keeps the vixen pinned under her and says "now yourgoing to say excatly what I want or I tear her pretty little head off braxton. your going to say please let go of my precios man traitor sisters you wonderfull mercifull wolf"
Halona blinks her eyes and swallows hard feeling humilliated and feels bad for Braxton not wanting him to say what Jamie suggested. but she is too scared to move or say anything at the moment.
Braxton knows it would be better to call his beloved sister a man-traitor, then to betray her himself. He refuses to do this to her. He takes a few deep breaths to dull the pain, then he goes for it, painfully, "Please... let go of my precious man-traitor sister... you... you wonderful merciful... wolf." He lies his head back and feels terrible. Not just because he's bloodied but because he actually had to say that. It's almost like how he had to humiliate himself for Therdde in order to convince him to send a message. And now all Braxton can think of is how damned selfish some creatures can be.
Shag, normally, doesn't like to mess in the affairs of others. He tried a couple times and all it got him were a couple of strange pine martens for friends, and nearly getting his throat torn out by dogs. But Shag is, in some ways, simple minded. He believes in a right way and a wrong way to do things, and those who do things the wrong way shouldn't be allowed to continue. One thing he's always been told to do is not play with his food. Those who do are mostly bullies. And bullies he doesn't like. Nor does he like dogs. So seeing a bullying dog through the trees, however thick, is something that pushes him over the edge. Outright confrontation is not on his mind yet, so perhaps some scare tactics are in order. No dogs will come running to help her here... and as Braxton pleas miserably for his life, a real wolf's howl echoes through the trees. Very, very close by.
Jamie smiles and says "now apologize for calling me a man traitor" she seems to be enjoying braxtons humiliation. her ears perk at the sound ofa wolf nerby she notes that who ever it was just gave up the eliment of surprise is it another fool comming to fight. she says "be quick about it or I will rip her throat out now if you do it right away I give you my word I will not harm either of you any more"
Halona turns to face Braxton and pleads with him, "Do not do it." She says not wanting Braxton to be humilliated any more. "It is not worth it."
Braxton growls and sucks in his breath at the pain racking his body. He can't stand this... but he can't let this man-traitor kill his sister. After a few moments of trying to fight off the pain, he says. "I...I am... sorry....you're a man traitor." He said it wrong. He had meant to say he was sorry he called her one. Yes?
What! She doesn't even flinch at a wolf's howl? Are *all* dogs like this? Back where he came from, wolves were something to be feared. *They* were the hunters. Maybe they've never met a real wolf before. Shag's a real wolf... he's going to show this *dog* that wolves were supposed to be run away from, not fought outright. He puffs out his chest and shakes himself and fluffs out his extra thick coat, and begins charging through the forest, growling, barking, and snapping, showing no signs of slowing down, but still a little apprehensive. The dog *is* going to run away at this point, right?
Jamie growls and says "your insulence will cost your sister" he tries to tear the vixen left ear off before noticing the wolf charging at her she says "I guess I will hafta deal with my prey a bit later" she jumps off the fox and turns dashing at the wolf. unlike him she dont waste energy growling merely observing what he might do she now found something more entertaining then a couple of rude foxes. she actually seems rather calm. she seems to study this wolf as if wondering if he trully is intending on fighting her or just merely wishing to steal her prey?
Halona blinks her eyes a little as she lets out a loud painful yilp as she feels some of her ear being ripped off by the dog. Then watches as Jamie jumps off of her.
Braxton decides to take advantage of the dog's distraction. "H.. Halona." Braxton says. He doesn't know if he's going to live or die. He's scared. "Halona... save yourself. Get to the closest den... get safe.... don't die.... There's nothing that can be done for me unless... well... this dog flees." Braxton tries to fight the pain down some more. "But you're better off than me."
It's coming right for him! Trying not to let his fear get the better of him, Shag skids to a halt and hops backwards. He'd rather not fight if he wasn't forced to, just give whoever was being toyed with time to escape. Careful not to expose too much of himself at once, he goes down low, bunched up to meet the dog with a pounce if he has to, posturing and growling so intensely he gives himself a headache in the meantime.
Jamie smiles as the dog seems to know the dogs just trying to scare her she says "are you a friend of the foxes I presume?" she does not look away from the dog and says "alright I will leave them alone but you foxes should know better then to battle with an oponent you can not possibly hope to win. your kind is suppose to try and out smart there oponent" she looks at the dog as herowls and says"as for you you growl to muchwasting your energy on threats in battle is useless if your oponent is clearly not scared of you. in fact it shows your own determination to avoid a fight makes you look weaker at times" she smiles at him. unlike most dogs she actually likes wolves so she seems to be acting in a cautiasebut friendly manner tohim.
Halona turns to face Braxton she is scarewd too. "I am not going to leave you." She says not making any sign of leaving where she is. Then cautiosuly turns towards the direction Jamie went towards to see what is going on over there.
Braxton relaxes a bit. He can't fight the pain nymore and he moans loudly in pain as it washes over his body. With that out of his system, he just lets his head relax, looking away from his sister. "I'm sleepy."
"It... what?" Shag abruptly stops when the dog say says something other than a threat. She's... smiling? What? Is this dog trying to be friendly? Not five seconds ago they were trying to kill each and now... he's confused. "Uhh... all right," he says, but doesn't get up from his crouching position. "I... no, I'm not their friend... I just.... you aren't supposed to play with your food," he says a little lamely.
Jamie smiles and says "well I guess I am a bit confussing I never actualoly planed on hurting them justabitof humiliation for ignorance but I guess I went to far " she runsback to the foxews and says lookihng down at braxton "do you need help back to your den? and be nice or else I will humiliate you some more you see I really despise being called a man traitor by someone whose sister is clearly also a man traitor so I can either help you back to your den and you be gratfull I am indeed kind or I can carry you back like a pup and leave you humiliated with your sister" she wonders how he will respond to her offer probably in confusion
Halona turns to face her brother still feeling scared and worried about him. "You will be alright." She says worriedly. She does not want Braxton to die and she will do anything to help him. The vixen waits to hear his answer to the female dog's offer to help.
Braxton growls. He doesn't want this man-traitor dog touching him. So, after all that's happened, the tod does not be nice. "I don't want any help from *you!*" Braxton has to fight against saying man-traitor, since that will clearly provoke the dog further. "You tried to kill me! All because you felt entitled to respect! I spit on you and your descendants!" Braxton looks over at Halona. "You can help me..." Braxton looks over at the wolf. "And becaus you have helped me... I must ask you help me again. Get me away from the dog."
Shag glances between the foxes and the dogs, supremely confused at this point. "Uhh... hold on, hold on," he says, moving forward to try and get the parties apart. "Perhaps it'd be best if we just went our separate ways now," he says, calmly moving forward to pick up the fox. "All right?"
Jamie smiles and says "well I suppose you are trying well ok I will leave you be but first let me get you some herbs I mean its not like you will survive long with out treatment" she goes to a nerby bush and bring back some leaves saying "chew these up and put them on his wounds its a trick another wolf taught me."
Halona tries to help Braxton as she turns to face Jamie angrily, "Why are you trying to help now after what you did to us?" She asks not really wanting Jamie's help either to be honest wincing a little in pain from her leg and her ear.
Braxton looks up to Shag and blinks. A wolf? A wolf saved him? While Braxton always held an admiration for wolves, he never imagined one would save his life. But he also wonders how Shag intends to help him. But he does have one thing to say to the wolf: "Thank you."
Shag sighs and looks between them all. now that violence has been averted, he doesn't feel like continuing hostilities. He loos despairingly at Jamie. "Hurting things isn't the way to make friends," he says, "or to toughen them up." He does want to say thank you for not trying to kill us, as it's likely that if he had engaged in direct contact he'd be in bad shape right now, but all he can do is look about in confusion. "If you want to live, take it!" he commands the foxes as the herbs are offered. "I can't heal."
Jamie sets the herbs down and says "your pride is hurt so you dont trust me but think of this young fox had you not been so quick to anger would you be in this shape when I first threw your sister you could of escaped instead you choose to fight and lose. yet the foxes are supposed to be the tricksters right now you are not acting much like a fox nor are you accepting a generise peace offering. you ee my intent was never to hurt you I simply wanted to teach your sister to be better aware of her surroundings. when you do calm down I will come back for now I guess I will hang out with the cute wolf"
Halona blinks her eyes a little and feels even worse when she hears Jamie's words. She then turns to face Braxton without saying anything else ready to try and help him get to his den.
"I understand." Braxton says, still angry at the dog, but grateful to the wolf. But wanting to get back to his den and to some sort of liberation of the pain he feels, he'll agree with anything right now. "I will accept the herbs. But my original choice stands... I want my sister and our savior-wolf to help me."
Cute? Shag had never heard himself described as cute before. Despite the situation, he can't help but feel his ears flush as he coughs under his breath, . He can take a compliment, but frankly, this dog more scares him than flatter him at the moment. "Help?" he asks rather eagerly. "How... how can I? I'll carry you to your den, wherever it might be." He decides to leave the dog to do what she wants. But an intriguing creature she is. If also absolutely terrifying. "But I can't stick around."
Jamie smiles and says "very well just rememberto chew them up and let the juices cover the wounds if you need more the bush I gotthis from will have plenty" she decides to step back and then turning to the wolf she says "I never been good at making friends many see me as a bit odd but hey what you going ta do about that" seeming to have a great interest in the wolf
Halona turns to face Braxton, "Are you ready to go now?" She asks in a soft voice meaning the question to be aimed at borth her brother and the wolf who helped them out not saying anything to Jamie.
"Your aid in returning to my den is all I desire. Though, once I am able-bodied I intend to find you and repay you. I am not a selfish fox." Braxton says."And I always pay my debts."
Of course they see her as odd... one minute she's ready to murder them all and the next she's handing out survival tips. Shag steps away from her a bit. "Well, just... stay here, okay?" he says with a smile, planning on putting some distance between him and the dog. The last dogs he encountered wanted to kill him... who's to say she wouldn't turn around and go running for her friends if he gets too close? "I'll help these foxes first." He bends down and gingerly picks up whoever needs it.
Jamie smiles and says "you dont hafta worry about me wolf I actually like wolfs alot" she smiles and says " well you should heal up nicely if you survive till tomarrow. I will see toit you will get some food later causeI doubt either of you can hunt now" she knows the male will probably respond with a comment she maynot likebut hey she is going to help them because theyneed it
Halona tries to help Shag with her brother trying to be gentle and not put too much weight down on her hurt leg. So she can help get Braxton back to the den not wanting to see him in any more pain.
Braxton doesn't respond. In fact, if one were to see him, one would easily describe him as a fox almost entirely out of consciousness by this point.
"Ow. Ow... ow. Ow." Such is Shag's talk as he wanders through the pointy bushes, carrying Braxton just behind his neck to the den that Halona points them to. This is a good hiding place... for foxes! He can't navigate worth anything here. He needs to get back to his own group soon, and doesn't want to come back covered in thorns and brambles. "Is... ow... is it- OW! much farther?" he whines.
Jamie stops at the thorns she is not excatly recieving a warm welcome from any of them so why should she get thorns in her fur she will ring em food later but she will leave it at tthe thorny bush as she watches the cute wolf saying "if you need help getting those thorns out I could lend you a paw"
Halona is heading towards the area trying to be careful from the thorns. "No it is not too much farther." She says then points towards the area. Then looks in one direction. "The den is right over there."
Braxton is unconscious. He can't respond to anything. He'll probably respond from the treatement, but chances are he's going to be hungry and thirsty when he comes to.
"That would be great," Shag calls over his shoulder to the dog. He'll accept any help to get these blasted thorns out... of course, then it's back to the mountain. This is taking far too much time... but his nature is to help those in need. Too good for his /own/ good. "I'm glad your homes are so close," he says to the fox. "My home is up the mountain. I'm traveling there."
Jamie simply sitsdowen and waits forhim to get back out of thethorns she really seems tothink heis cute
Halona turns towards the wolf. "That is good." She says. "I would like to thank you for helping me and my brother." The vixen says sincerely. Then acccidentally puts too much pressure on her injured leg and winces almost falling down. "Ouch!" Luckily she catches her balance.
Shag looks down to the vixen as she stumbles. "Are you all right?" he asks, bending down to help her out. "Man, this is a dangerous place to be... and that leg... I'm sorry I didn't arrive sooner."
Jamie shrugs and says "I wish you did too your quite cute" once again flirting with him
Shag coughs in embarassment from the dog's compliment, finding it quite uncomfortable to be complimented by an object of distaste. He sets Braxton down carefully, allowing Halona to take him down into the den. "Be safe," he wishes them, and then crawls painfully and laboriously back out through the bushes. Thorns. OW.
Jamie smiles and says "dont worry your almost out of the thorns cutey"
Shag does indeed find himself out of the thorns quite quickly, as he doesn't want to linger inside them. "Ouch... ridiculous," he says, and eyes the dog warily. She was probably going to eat him or something now that he was weak and distracted. Why had she followed them this long? "Well... uh... thanks for not killing us," he says awkwardly, going to work with the thorns in his fur,.
Jamie seems to generally be nice to the wolf and helps him getthorns out of some dificult to reach places as she pulls the thorns out she aasks him "so whats a wolf like you doing over here anyways"
"Going home," Shag says. "Thanks for the help with the thorns. But my home is all the way up the mountain. Far away from this place." He nodded to the south. "I was going to head out as soon as I was done here. You won't bother those foxes, will you?" he asks carefully.
Jamie sighs and says "no I think I will help them get food and stuff but not likely anything to hurt them will you come back and visit?"
Shag shakes his head. "I don't know," he says honestly. "I really want to get back. I was separated from them by the flood." He stands up and plucks out the last few thorns. "Me and some friends are travelling." Shag adds. "I met some of *your* friends," he says with an edge to his voice. "More dogs. They tried to kill me. If I ever come back I'll never go farther than the forest... the barn dogs aren't worth the trouble."
Jamie quirks her eye brow and says "ah well I suppose thats not nice of them oh well not all of us are that mean. if you ever have that problem again and I am in the area I will try and help"
Shag shakes his head. "Thanks for the offer," he says, "but this cutie can handle himself. Thanks again. I... I guess you're not as bad as some dogs," he says carefully. She did almost kill his new friends after all, but she does seem sincere about wanting to help. "I'm going to get moving." He makes a silent vow to check up on these foxes when next he gets a chance as he moves off into the woods.
Jamie decides to stay close to the foxes den letting him leave she knows thefoxes will need hger help and she owes themn that much considering she probably left them perminately scared
Halona is seen in the area she does not seem to be paying too much of the time wanting to be alone for a while. But she knows that chances are it will not last long expecting her brother or some one else to be around.
Jamie is roaming the area not really doing much as she sniffs the ground she spots a fox not too far off and slinks down ready to see what the female is doing she wonders if she can catch the vixen
Braxton is actually sleeping in his den, quietly, imagining being surrounded by kits, his grandchildren, telling them stories. He loves his family that much.
Halona does not seem to notice the dog but she has a feeling and thinks she picks up on a scent that she does not recognize. "Hello?" She calls out not really expecting an answer. She then sits down on the ground to rest a little.
Braxton rolls over in his sleep. He heard Halona say hello, but this was incorporated into his dream. She's lost amongst the sea of grandkits, looking for him.
Jamie smiles as she gets behind the vixen and wonders why she called out? Did the vixen detect her? if so why she still laying there? she pushes the mystery out of her mind and makes a lunge to pin halona she wonders how surprised the vixen will be to see her.
Halona was caught off guard and does indeed get pinned by Jamie causing the vixen to let out a scared and surprised noise. "What is going on?"
Braxton shakes awake when Halona yells out and yawns. The fox walks out of his den and looks around for the source of the noise. "What's going on?"
Jamie looks down at halona and says "not a very bright vixen I caught. I mean its pretty obvios you have been caught by a dog and now would be the time to beg for your life not ask whats going on as its obvious you have become prey" she grinsdown at the unlucky vixen just trying to scare her for a little entertainment.
Halona blinks her eyees a little, "I know what happened." She says trying to push the dog away. "I know what you are. From back when I was living with humans. You just caught me off guard and what are you doing here at my home lands?" She asks the dog. In a angry tone of voice. "What do you mean I have become prey?" She asks seeming a little scared.
Braxton spots the dog on top of Terri. And he growls and walks toward the dog. "What are you doing, dog?" Braxton says. "Get off of her!"
Jamie grins atbraxton and says "what you want fox oh do I got your mate? oh she a rather stupid beast dont see why you want her back." looking down at the fox she says "you know about the masters that must mean you escape from them you know what dogs do to foxes who have escaped there masters right we tear them apart. piece by piece" the vixens struggling to push the dog are relatively ignored mostly cause it does not matter to her since she is much stronger
Halona blinks her eyes a little, "Please do not hurt me. I-I was raised." She swallows hard making a gulping noise. "By humans. I-I did not escape. I-I l-l-like humans."
"And perhaps you don't know what foxes like myself do to man-traitor dogs like you! Get off my sister, or I will remove you in the most painful way possible, man-traitor!" Braxton growls ready for a fight. He is assuming this dog is a man-traitor based off of what he said just then. "Your kind are not welcome here, leave the human filth and evil in their cursed world!"
Jamie grins and says "too bad I dont. they betrayed me and left me in this hellish place I had to learn how to survive. though I suppose they had there reasons I dont think it matters to me" licking the back of the vixens neck she says "your quite tasty you know" looking over to braxton unimpressed as she says "oh I am a man traitor your sister is a man traitor yet you defend her and threaten me although I dont think your threats are very valid since I am bigger and doubt the effort of you both would save either of you" the dog remains calm as if she is just toying with the 2 of them. she is not at all hungry just bored and she doubts a fox would make a fool hardy moov
Halona blinks her eyes she is scared when the dog licks the back of her neck. "Please let me go." She pleads trying to push Jamie away from her. "I will listen to my brother if I was you." She says struggling trying to get away from the dog.
Braxton is no man-traitor himself. He is not soft, and he would do anything for his family. He doesn't appear intimidated. "They made you soft. Weak. Stupid. Stand down, or I will make you stand down, man-traitor!" Braxton growls. He doesn't care if the dog attacks him or critically injures him, so long as his sister comes out unharmed.
Jamie smiles and says "you assume alot fox I am not soft I survived 2 winters outside of there care in the most hellish of ways. I had to fight and kill and do things to toughing me up a bit so dont irritate me too much or I will snap your sisters neck" she lowers her muzzles and says "stop struggling or I will hurt you" she opens her maw lowering it over the vixens neck not biting down but placing it there as if ready to go through with her threat if she needs to
Halona stops struggling for a moment in fear not knowing what else to do hoping that the dog does not go through with it. She would rather be the one who gets hurt instead of her brother Braxton but she does not want to risk anything yet.
Braxton loses his composure and charges right at the man-traitor dog. Nobody, but *nobody* hrts Braxton's family and gets away with it, not Sanguine, and not this man-traitor! Seeing red, the fox leaps at the dog and sinks his claws and teeth into whatever he can get.
Jamie responds to braxton charge in an instant she clamps down on the vixen and chucks her in the way of braxton charge jumping back she hopes that stoped the fox for a moment at least as she also waits to see if the vixens still alive . she did not really wanna hurt her or braxton she was only toying with the 2 perhaps she went too far?
Halona yips out in pain as the dog clamps down on her and is chucks her the way of Braxton. She is still alive and the fear in her eyes shows.
Braxton can't stop in time to keep from bowling into his sister and falls over her, flipped onto his back. This, however, only serves to enrage the male even further and he gets to his feet as fast as he can. Yes, this dog went to far. He starts running toward her again, teeth bared, ready for a scrap.
Jamie only needed the moment he was on his back to get to her feet she dash towards him as she waits for him to make the first move. waiting for him to leap at her knowing in his rage he is likely on a blind charge
Halona slowly starts to get up feeling a little dizzy she is baring her own teeth wanting to try to hurt Jamie herself.
Braxton leaps at Jamie again, very angry, and unaware that she was waiting for him to leap up and bite.
Jamie smiles as she doesw as a wolf once taught her. one who took pitty on her she waits for the perfect moment leapin to the side and snapping at braxtons necks she twist and tries to use his own momentom to senhd his head straight into the ground releasing him. she doesw not wait to see if it knocked braxton out or not just charges straight at him trying to get to him before he can recover
Halona blinks her eyees watching what Jamie just did she then goes and rushes after the dog her teeth bared she leaps and tries to sink her teeth into Jamie's neck. It might not be a good move but hopefully the dog is too distracted with Braxton Jamie will not even notice her.
Braxton's yelp is cut off by the twisting of his neck, but he definitely shouts out in pain as he is slammed against the ground. Though not knocked out, the fox is dazed and has a little more difficulty in standing up properly.
Jamie had not forgoten about halona she did not figure the female would be brave enough to attack her. so when she catches her out of the corner of her eye on her trail she again waits for her toact stoping suddenly to avoid the bite and catch halona mid leap so she can pin her by the neck as the vixen lands. she wonders why these 2 seem so strange from other foxes who are much more self obsorbed
Halona yelps out as misses Jamie and is pinned down by the neck. She then tries to use all her strength trying to push Jamie off of her.
Braxton is far from selfish. He is a firm believer of heart above everything. That being said, this damn man-traitor is hurting his family... Unfortunately the tod is still rather stunned. Shaking his head Braxton advances on the dog to attack her again, this time with less running, as soon as he reaches her, he plans to bite into her sensitive (He hopes.) flanks.
Jamie decides to leaves these foxes with a bit of a lesson she swings halona to knock back braxton releasing the vixens neck but then grabing on her leg and trashing her head to try and injure her leg enough where she wont be able to help her brother
Halona yilps out when Jamie swings her around getting released and tries to get up... but she was not fast enough when the dog grabs her leg and injures it she lets out another loud yilp of pain. She does not even try to move.
"You... bitch...." Braxton says after gets knocked away by his sister, then sees what she does to his sister. "You..." Braxton can't lose this fight! There's no telling what this dog might do to his sister if she prevails. The tod, gets up and shakes himself off, and, enraged, charges again after her. He runs and leaps for the dog with the intention... *again*... of just latching on and doing what damage he can.
Jamie releases the vixen when she see braxton coming in for another charge and she mov es to catch himj once again by the neck this time by his scruff so she can run away wiuth him in her maw and turn this fight into a one on one beat the crap out of the anoyying fox
Halona blinks her eyes a little as she slowly tries to get up to help her brother. She winces at the pain and tries her best to stifle a painful yilp. "Leave him alone!" She says in a warning tone of voice.
Braxton growls as he is grabbed by the scruff like a kit! How insulting! He flails, but can't seem to do much of anything about it. Nothing. But at least Halona will be okay.
Jamie sets him down a good distance away from halona then she thrashes at his legs trying to flip him to get to his soft under belly to give him some painfull bites there thrashing any soft tissue she sinks her teeth in she wants him to feel pain before she leaves him to strike at his sister
Halona is trying to make her way over towards her brother wanting to help him. But the pain in her leg makes it hard for her to move much. She flops down and remains where she is.
Braxton oofs when he's flipped over unceremoniously on his back. And then he yelps and howls in pain as the female starts biting relentlessly, howling in pain as significant portions of blood are drawn. It hurts so much.
Jamie jumps back and sees if braxton gets up or not. she wants to know if he can fight still she says "go on lay down and know while you lay there I am going to kill your sister and make yopu watch then leave you to die on your own"
Halona blinks her eyes a little when she hears Jamie's words knowing that she can not do much but remain where she is. The thought that the female dog is going to kill the vixen does not help much and her thoughts go to ways of trying to figure out how to get out of this situation.
Braxton prays that Halona will have the sense to just hide in his den. The dog may be big, but his den is deep. He shouts out as lous as he can. "Halona, get in my den! Now!" Braxton directs and angry eye at the dog. He feels week. He might need medical attention. But he's not going to risk *anyone* while this man-traitor is here. "Go ahead, kill me, you man-traitor! It'll be the only blood you get from us!"
Jamie darts straight for braxtons sister. she knows if she can sink her teeth in the vixen there will be no escape for either of them she darts at halona saying "if you run your brother will pay the price for it"
Halona blinks her eyes when she hears Braxton's words she does not want her brother to get hurt any more than he already is. She does notice Jamie as the dog darts straight towards her. She tries to find the strength to head towards Braxton's den knowing she is not in any condition to fight either.
Braxton can barely see that Halona isdoing her best to get away. He prays she makes it into the den in time. He shudders and groans when he realizes just how much damage the dog did to him, his fur is caked with his blood. If he survives this, it might take him time to heal. "Come on, you coward! Can't even finish off the fox you're trying to kill? You have to go after her? FINISH ME!"
Jamie manages to get to halona before she gets to the den biting at her scruff she tries to pick her up like she did braxton minuts ago she tries to carry her back to braxton
Halona is trying to get to the den when she blinks her eyes feeling the dog bite her at the scruff and gets picked up to be carried off. WHich causes her whole body to tense up.
"No!" Yells the tod, and Braxton clenches his teeth angrily. If he wasn't in such horrible shape he'd... get up and let the dog beat the snot out of him some more... something! Now the man-traitor has his sister! "Let her go! You can kill me! Just let her go, I'm the one you want!" He's desperate. What can he do?
Jamie smiles as she carries the vixen over to braxton setting his sister down a few feet from him as she keeps the vixen pinned under her and says "now yourgoing to say excatly what I want or I tear her pretty little head off braxton. your going to say please let go of my precios man traitor sisters you wonderfull mercifull wolf"
Halona blinks her eyes and swallows hard feeling humilliated and feels bad for Braxton not wanting him to say what Jamie suggested. but she is too scared to move or say anything at the moment.
Braxton knows it would be better to call his beloved sister a man-traitor, then to betray her himself. He refuses to do this to her. He takes a few deep breaths to dull the pain, then he goes for it, painfully, "Please... let go of my precious man-traitor sister... you... you wonderful merciful... wolf." He lies his head back and feels terrible. Not just because he's bloodied but because he actually had to say that. It's almost like how he had to humiliate himself for Therdde in order to convince him to send a message. And now all Braxton can think of is how damned selfish some creatures can be.
Shag, normally, doesn't like to mess in the affairs of others. He tried a couple times and all it got him were a couple of strange pine martens for friends, and nearly getting his throat torn out by dogs. But Shag is, in some ways, simple minded. He believes in a right way and a wrong way to do things, and those who do things the wrong way shouldn't be allowed to continue. One thing he's always been told to do is not play with his food. Those who do are mostly bullies. And bullies he doesn't like. Nor does he like dogs. So seeing a bullying dog through the trees, however thick, is something that pushes him over the edge. Outright confrontation is not on his mind yet, so perhaps some scare tactics are in order. No dogs will come running to help her here... and as Braxton pleas miserably for his life, a real wolf's howl echoes through the trees. Very, very close by.
Jamie smiles and says "now apologize for calling me a man traitor" she seems to be enjoying braxtons humiliation. her ears perk at the sound ofa wolf nerby she notes that who ever it was just gave up the eliment of surprise is it another fool comming to fight. she says "be quick about it or I will rip her throat out now if you do it right away I give you my word I will not harm either of you any more"
Halona turns to face Braxton and pleads with him, "Do not do it." She says not wanting Braxton to be humilliated any more. "It is not worth it."
Braxton growls and sucks in his breath at the pain racking his body. He can't stand this... but he can't let this man-traitor kill his sister. After a few moments of trying to fight off the pain, he says. "I...I am... sorry....you're a man traitor." He said it wrong. He had meant to say he was sorry he called her one. Yes?
What! She doesn't even flinch at a wolf's howl? Are *all* dogs like this? Back where he came from, wolves were something to be feared. *They* were the hunters. Maybe they've never met a real wolf before. Shag's a real wolf... he's going to show this *dog* that wolves were supposed to be run away from, not fought outright. He puffs out his chest and shakes himself and fluffs out his extra thick coat, and begins charging through the forest, growling, barking, and snapping, showing no signs of slowing down, but still a little apprehensive. The dog *is* going to run away at this point, right?
Jamie growls and says "your insulence will cost your sister" he tries to tear the vixen left ear off before noticing the wolf charging at her she says "I guess I will hafta deal with my prey a bit later" she jumps off the fox and turns dashing at the wolf. unlike him she dont waste energy growling merely observing what he might do she now found something more entertaining then a couple of rude foxes. she actually seems rather calm. she seems to study this wolf as if wondering if he trully is intending on fighting her or just merely wishing to steal her prey?
Halona blinks her eyes a little as she lets out a loud painful yilp as she feels some of her ear being ripped off by the dog. Then watches as Jamie jumps off of her.
Braxton decides to take advantage of the dog's distraction. "H.. Halona." Braxton says. He doesn't know if he's going to live or die. He's scared. "Halona... save yourself. Get to the closest den... get safe.... don't die.... There's nothing that can be done for me unless... well... this dog flees." Braxton tries to fight the pain down some more. "But you're better off than me."
It's coming right for him! Trying not to let his fear get the better of him, Shag skids to a halt and hops backwards. He'd rather not fight if he wasn't forced to, just give whoever was being toyed with time to escape. Careful not to expose too much of himself at once, he goes down low, bunched up to meet the dog with a pounce if he has to, posturing and growling so intensely he gives himself a headache in the meantime.
Jamie smiles as the dog seems to know the dogs just trying to scare her she says "are you a friend of the foxes I presume?" she does not look away from the dog and says "alright I will leave them alone but you foxes should know better then to battle with an oponent you can not possibly hope to win. your kind is suppose to try and out smart there oponent" she looks at the dog as herowls and says"as for you you growl to muchwasting your energy on threats in battle is useless if your oponent is clearly not scared of you. in fact it shows your own determination to avoid a fight makes you look weaker at times" she smiles at him. unlike most dogs she actually likes wolves so she seems to be acting in a cautiasebut friendly manner tohim.
Halona turns to face Braxton she is scarewd too. "I am not going to leave you." She says not making any sign of leaving where she is. Then cautiosuly turns towards the direction Jamie went towards to see what is going on over there.
Braxton relaxes a bit. He can't fight the pain nymore and he moans loudly in pain as it washes over his body. With that out of his system, he just lets his head relax, looking away from his sister. "I'm sleepy."
"It... what?" Shag abruptly stops when the dog say says something other than a threat. She's... smiling? What? Is this dog trying to be friendly? Not five seconds ago they were trying to kill each and now... he's confused. "Uhh... all right," he says, but doesn't get up from his crouching position. "I... no, I'm not their friend... I just.... you aren't supposed to play with your food," he says a little lamely.
Jamie smiles and says "well I guess I am a bit confussing I never actualoly planed on hurting them justabitof humiliation for ignorance but I guess I went to far " she runsback to the foxews and says lookihng down at braxton "do you need help back to your den? and be nice or else I will humiliate you some more you see I really despise being called a man traitor by someone whose sister is clearly also a man traitor so I can either help you back to your den and you be gratfull I am indeed kind or I can carry you back like a pup and leave you humiliated with your sister" she wonders how he will respond to her offer probably in confusion
Halona turns to face her brother still feeling scared and worried about him. "You will be alright." She says worriedly. She does not want Braxton to die and she will do anything to help him. The vixen waits to hear his answer to the female dog's offer to help.
Braxton growls. He doesn't want this man-traitor dog touching him. So, after all that's happened, the tod does not be nice. "I don't want any help from *you!*" Braxton has to fight against saying man-traitor, since that will clearly provoke the dog further. "You tried to kill me! All because you felt entitled to respect! I spit on you and your descendants!" Braxton looks over at Halona. "You can help me..." Braxton looks over at the wolf. "And becaus you have helped me... I must ask you help me again. Get me away from the dog."
Shag glances between the foxes and the dogs, supremely confused at this point. "Uhh... hold on, hold on," he says, moving forward to try and get the parties apart. "Perhaps it'd be best if we just went our separate ways now," he says, calmly moving forward to pick up the fox. "All right?"
Jamie smiles and says "well I suppose you are trying well ok I will leave you be but first let me get you some herbs I mean its not like you will survive long with out treatment" she goes to a nerby bush and bring back some leaves saying "chew these up and put them on his wounds its a trick another wolf taught me."
Halona tries to help Braxton as she turns to face Jamie angrily, "Why are you trying to help now after what you did to us?" She asks not really wanting Jamie's help either to be honest wincing a little in pain from her leg and her ear.
Braxton looks up to Shag and blinks. A wolf? A wolf saved him? While Braxton always held an admiration for wolves, he never imagined one would save his life. But he also wonders how Shag intends to help him. But he does have one thing to say to the wolf: "Thank you."
Shag sighs and looks between them all. now that violence has been averted, he doesn't feel like continuing hostilities. He loos despairingly at Jamie. "Hurting things isn't the way to make friends," he says, "or to toughen them up." He does want to say thank you for not trying to kill us, as it's likely that if he had engaged in direct contact he'd be in bad shape right now, but all he can do is look about in confusion. "If you want to live, take it!" he commands the foxes as the herbs are offered. "I can't heal."
Jamie sets the herbs down and says "your pride is hurt so you dont trust me but think of this young fox had you not been so quick to anger would you be in this shape when I first threw your sister you could of escaped instead you choose to fight and lose. yet the foxes are supposed to be the tricksters right now you are not acting much like a fox nor are you accepting a generise peace offering. you ee my intent was never to hurt you I simply wanted to teach your sister to be better aware of her surroundings. when you do calm down I will come back for now I guess I will hang out with the cute wolf"
Halona blinks her eyes a little and feels even worse when she hears Jamie's words. She then turns to face Braxton without saying anything else ready to try and help him get to his den.
"I understand." Braxton says, still angry at the dog, but grateful to the wolf. But wanting to get back to his den and to some sort of liberation of the pain he feels, he'll agree with anything right now. "I will accept the herbs. But my original choice stands... I want my sister and our savior-wolf to help me."
Cute? Shag had never heard himself described as cute before. Despite the situation, he can't help but feel his ears flush as he coughs under his breath, . He can take a compliment, but frankly, this dog more scares him than flatter him at the moment. "Help?" he asks rather eagerly. "How... how can I? I'll carry you to your den, wherever it might be." He decides to leave the dog to do what she wants. But an intriguing creature she is. If also absolutely terrifying. "But I can't stick around."
Jamie smiles and says "very well just rememberto chew them up and let the juices cover the wounds if you need more the bush I gotthis from will have plenty" she decides to step back and then turning to the wolf she says "I never been good at making friends many see me as a bit odd but hey what you going ta do about that" seeming to have a great interest in the wolf
Halona turns to face Braxton, "Are you ready to go now?" She asks in a soft voice meaning the question to be aimed at borth her brother and the wolf who helped them out not saying anything to Jamie.
"Your aid in returning to my den is all I desire. Though, once I am able-bodied I intend to find you and repay you. I am not a selfish fox." Braxton says."And I always pay my debts."
Of course they see her as odd... one minute she's ready to murder them all and the next she's handing out survival tips. Shag steps away from her a bit. "Well, just... stay here, okay?" he says with a smile, planning on putting some distance between him and the dog. The last dogs he encountered wanted to kill him... who's to say she wouldn't turn around and go running for her friends if he gets too close? "I'll help these foxes first." He bends down and gingerly picks up whoever needs it.
Jamie smiles and says "you dont hafta worry about me wolf I actually like wolfs alot" she smiles and says " well you should heal up nicely if you survive till tomarrow. I will see toit you will get some food later causeI doubt either of you can hunt now" she knows the male will probably respond with a comment she maynot likebut hey she is going to help them because theyneed it
Halona tries to help Shag with her brother trying to be gentle and not put too much weight down on her hurt leg. So she can help get Braxton back to the den not wanting to see him in any more pain.
Braxton doesn't respond. In fact, if one were to see him, one would easily describe him as a fox almost entirely out of consciousness by this point.
"Ow. Ow... ow. Ow." Such is Shag's talk as he wanders through the pointy bushes, carrying Braxton just behind his neck to the den that Halona points them to. This is a good hiding place... for foxes! He can't navigate worth anything here. He needs to get back to his own group soon, and doesn't want to come back covered in thorns and brambles. "Is... ow... is it- OW! much farther?" he whines.
Jamie stops at the thorns she is not excatly recieving a warm welcome from any of them so why should she get thorns in her fur she will ring em food later but she will leave it at tthe thorny bush as she watches the cute wolf saying "if you need help getting those thorns out I could lend you a paw"
Halona is heading towards the area trying to be careful from the thorns. "No it is not too much farther." She says then points towards the area. Then looks in one direction. "The den is right over there."
Braxton is unconscious. He can't respond to anything. He'll probably respond from the treatement, but chances are he's going to be hungry and thirsty when he comes to.
"That would be great," Shag calls over his shoulder to the dog. He'll accept any help to get these blasted thorns out... of course, then it's back to the mountain. This is taking far too much time... but his nature is to help those in need. Too good for his /own/ good. "I'm glad your homes are so close," he says to the fox. "My home is up the mountain. I'm traveling there."
Jamie simply sitsdowen and waits forhim to get back out of thethorns she really seems tothink heis cute
Halona turns towards the wolf. "That is good." She says. "I would like to thank you for helping me and my brother." The vixen says sincerely. Then acccidentally puts too much pressure on her injured leg and winces almost falling down. "Ouch!" Luckily she catches her balance.
Shag looks down to the vixen as she stumbles. "Are you all right?" he asks, bending down to help her out. "Man, this is a dangerous place to be... and that leg... I'm sorry I didn't arrive sooner."
Jamie shrugs and says "I wish you did too your quite cute" once again flirting with him
Shag coughs in embarassment from the dog's compliment, finding it quite uncomfortable to be complimented by an object of distaste. He sets Braxton down carefully, allowing Halona to take him down into the den. "Be safe," he wishes them, and then crawls painfully and laboriously back out through the bushes. Thorns. OW.
Jamie smiles and says "dont worry your almost out of the thorns cutey"
Shag does indeed find himself out of the thorns quite quickly, as he doesn't want to linger inside them. "Ouch... ridiculous," he says, and eyes the dog warily. She was probably going to eat him or something now that he was weak and distracted. Why had she followed them this long? "Well... uh... thanks for not killing us," he says awkwardly, going to work with the thorns in his fur,.
Jamie seems to generally be nice to the wolf and helps him getthorns out of some dificult to reach places as she pulls the thorns out she aasks him "so whats a wolf like you doing over here anyways"
"Going home," Shag says. "Thanks for the help with the thorns. But my home is all the way up the mountain. Far away from this place." He nodded to the south. "I was going to head out as soon as I was done here. You won't bother those foxes, will you?" he asks carefully.
Jamie sighs and says "no I think I will help them get food and stuff but not likely anything to hurt them will you come back and visit?"
Shag shakes his head. "I don't know," he says honestly. "I really want to get back. I was separated from them by the flood." He stands up and plucks out the last few thorns. "Me and some friends are travelling." Shag adds. "I met some of *your* friends," he says with an edge to his voice. "More dogs. They tried to kill me. If I ever come back I'll never go farther than the forest... the barn dogs aren't worth the trouble."
Jamie quirks her eye brow and says "ah well I suppose thats not nice of them oh well not all of us are that mean. if you ever have that problem again and I am in the area I will try and help"
Shag shakes his head. "Thanks for the offer," he says, "but this cutie can handle himself. Thanks again. I... I guess you're not as bad as some dogs," he says carefully. She did almost kill his new friends after all, but she does seem sincere about wanting to help. "I'm going to get moving." He makes a silent vow to check up on these foxes when next he gets a chance as he moves off into the woods.
Jamie decides to stay close to the foxes den letting him leave she knows thefoxes will need hger help and she owes themn that much considering she probably left them perminately scared
